Thai student praised for clearing traffic for ambulance - but why should this be necessary?

Engineering consultant cheats death after falling into 12-metre hole

An engineering consultant escaped death when a vacuum sweeper truck hooked a cable he was standing on, making him lose balance and sending him plunging into a 12-metre hole as he was inspecting underground electrical cable work in Bangkok on Wednesday.

Female motorcyclist killed after being knocked off bridge in car crash

A woman was killed after a car rammed her motorcycle, knocking her off a bridge on Ratchadapisek Road in Rama 3 area on Wednesday while the car driver jumped into a taxi and fled, only to return later and surrender to police.

BTS tests Green Line trains at 7 new stations before public opening at year-end

Since October 5, the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) has been testing train operations at seven new stations of the Green Line’s northern extension section from Phahon Yothin 59 to Khu Khot stations, chief executive officer Surapong Laoha-Unya said.

Border security with Malaysia increased to prevent spread of COVID-19

Ex-Deputy Minister Nipon found at fault by NACC for malfeasance in office

Thailand’s former Deputy Interior Minister Nipon Boonyamanee, of the Democrat Party, has been found to have committed malfeasance in office, by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), for his refusal to accept delivery of two multi-purpose vehicles, worth about 51 million baht, bought by the Songkhla Provincial Administration Organization (PAO) in 2013.

JAKARTA (Reuters) - Indonesian police arrested 23 protesters in two industrial areas of Java island, using tear gas and water cannon as thousands across the country demonstrated against a new jobs law that critics say weakens worker rights and environmental regulation.
