You are right.  Cummings makes the decisions and Johnson follows his lead.  But the clue is in the job title.  Prime Minister means he has has the final say on all policies.  Of course they should go before parliament first but not in Boris's world.

The covid world according to Keir Starmer,.......Support........Oppose........Abstain.????

Johnson was only ever a means to an end......ride the wave and get the Tories into power....no one in their right mind every thought a third rate journalist, liar and a cheat would actually make a good PM......covid has caught them all out and his Cabinet of knuckleheads are of no use whatsoever......interesting to see what happens when he has a reshuffle.....who the hell can he bring into the cabinet?......any heavy weights have gone...he is left with a bunch of unprincipled no-marks.

Careful Vogie, surely that is what a democracy is all about and you love your democracy ????

There's a massive difference between democracy and dithering.????

Dithering as in ....shall we lockdown...shall we buy PPE.....shall we just shovel old people back into their care homes and let nature take its course......although there was, to be fair, no delay in defending Cummings or handing out big, fat lucrative contracts to Tory donors.

Be positive, the Tories on their very worst day are still 10 times better than Labour on their very best day.

Do you have links to back up your accusations?

You made an erronious claim that Cummings was "handing out big, fat lucrative contracts to Tory donors." If you cannot support this libelous accusation with a link, one might suspect you are being economical with the truth.

You see the danger with obsessive party loyalty is that it makes it hard to make judgements dispassionately.  Tory so must always be right!  Labour so must always be wrong.

Is English your first language? Where do I say Cummings was handing out big, fat lucrative contracts?

It's okay...no need to post an apology and I won't consider what you falsely claimed to be libelous.

I am certainly not loyal to any party, infact most of my life I have voted Labour. But I strongly believe in when asking the electorate to vote in a referendum, not to ignore the outcome just because you didn't like the result.

But when I look at the Labour Party from Blair to the present I can't believe anybody could vote for such a shower of s***.

The big mistake he is making is that expecting expecting people that have gone out for a drink to relax and enjoy themselves, then to imagine they are going to go home at 21.00 despite feeling happy warm and friendly, is very unlikely. They will of course find somewhere to carry on the evening until the small hours.

What was the insult? It was a genuine concern that you misunderstood what I wrote.

I must not apologise for things I didn't do.

STILL referring back to Brexit!  Come on Vogie, move on from that. There will be plenty of opportunity to chew that one again at the death.

So given that you used to be a Labour supporter, pre Blair I am surprised that you pin your colours on Johnson.  You are full of surprises.

Plus it is strange folk here lambaste Boris yet they don't say a word about those who are flouting previous advice, the main reason it's taken off again...Very strange..

I totally agree.

Boris may be a bit of a K*** but its the Brit public who have gotten themselves into this situation. IMHO of spending time here during this whole thing, the oldies follow the rules to the tee but the average Brit has just looked for ways to bypass the rules and common sense, and then blame it on Gov rather accept they are dimwits.

It's a bit weird.  I can't stand the guy, but it's clear that many people simply don't give two hoots about the virus and have behaved (and continue to behave) in a completely selfish way, bordering on vindictive.

It's a pretty sad indictment of where the British people are culturally and emotionally.  "Rules are for everyone else to follow, not for me.  I don't care if I get the virus, I still want to go to the pub and see my mates (and, by implication, I don't care if other people die as a result)."
