Which ignores my question about the conclusions of the investigation.

Like many Trump fans, you will optimistically assume that investigations targeting Democrats prove guilt, while investigations targeting Trump prove conspiracies.

I am not a "Trump fan". I am an American Citizen, 62 years old, Retired US Navy, and I have voted for both parties in my lifetime. I am a conservative.

I have seen many political scandals and followed them all closely and have never seen one as serious as this, unless you count the entire scandal to remove the President from office. That one is every bit as big.

I am deeply concerned about the activities of Joe and Hunter Biden, have been able to see the obvious issue ever since it was found that his son was on the board of Burisma. And more and more keeps getting added. I have no reason to doubt that a Computer repair shop fabricated the laptop. I have no reason to believe that the drop off signature is s forgery, No reason to question the Hunter Biden's attorney contacted the shop to get it back, no reason to doubt the 2ndary verification of receiving parties on the emails as to their authenticity. I suppose I could call all of this in question but that seems to more on the implausible end then the story itself.

I sincerely hope that Joe Biden withdraw his name from consideration. Please refrain from insult in your response that no doubt would ask that I ignore the above as having any foundation in reality.

Clearly the tactic here is to throw out unsubstantiated BS.

What evidence pointed in that direction?  Remember the rule from the Mueller Report--no indictment means total vindictation.

How can the investigation be ongoing if the report has been released?  https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hunter-biden-report-burisma-ukraine-senate-republican-released/

Read the report and go to senate.gov to find out about the investigation.  That's what I would do if I wanted to know.

Do not insult me in your posts. I have had enough. The DNI said what he said. The intelligence agencies backed him. No one refuted him. He runs the agency. Do not insult me any further. You have been warned.

The DNI is a political appointee.  One with a dodgy history.  You can research that.

The intelligence community is saying it's BS.  They are not backing the DNI.  Unless you only read Faux News. LOL

The report said that Hunter Biden's involvement with Burisma looked bad.  So what else is new?  It found no wrong doing by Joe Biden.

That's old news.  It's been debunked already by the FBI, DOJ and DNI.  Give them each a carrot for trying.  Nah, cancel that on second thought.  Their effort was so lame it's not worth anything.

So nothing Trump has done concerns you?  You are happy with everything he's done so far?

Read this and get back to us.

The Swamp That Trump Built

A businessman-president transplanted favor-seeking in Washington to his family’s hotels and resorts — and earned millions as a gatekeeper to his own administration.

Who is us? Do you refer to yourself in the plural? Your article is not the topic of this post. It is simply noise and I am not interested in any unsubstantiated garbage designed as a hit job against the President. I do not read the NY times and do not get free access to the NY times and there is a paywall on the article. You didn't notice?

Actually all who head agencies are appointees of the President of the USA that is how our system works. That is no reason to call into question him saying he has sent no information to Congress, nor seen such information which makes a claim that the Biden Laptop is part of some elaborate Russian scheme.  Further, he does not have a "dodgy history" as you say. The intelligence community is NOT saying what you stated.  The Intelligence community speaks through the DNI and they have not refuted or argued his public position.  Your LOL what does that mean exactly? You are laughing out loud at who me? The Director if Intelligence of the USA as if you know better? The report did not come out of faux it came out of the New York post but it has been corroborated elsewhere including Fox. Let's just let the truth to continue to come out and see where it leads shall we?  Sound reasonable to you? My guess is Biden steps down and soon.

Trump Abruptly Drops John Ratcliffe As DNI Nominee Amid Political Headwinds

President Trump abruptly dropped his intention to nominate Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, to serve as director of national intelligence on Friday.

Coolness from Senate Republicans(link is external) and reports in the press about past overstatements regarding Ratcliffe's record(link is external) appear to have prompted the White House to calculate that it was wiser to cut bait now than try to press ahead against those headwinds.

Too fricking funny.  Don't do as the president says, potentially breaking laws, and you're out!

Perhaps Barr will step in and help? LOL

We need a president who hires competent managers.  Not lackeys and yes men.

So far, anyone in Trump's inner circle have been "Yes" men.  You disagree, you're gone.  It's a long list so far, including some highly decorated generals.

I just put up a link showing 50 former intelligence officers are saying this is BS.  Did you read that?

The NY Post is owned by Murdoch, who owns Faux News.  Both dodgy sources for news.

A political lackey:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ratcliffe_(American_politician)

Later, Ratcliffe claimed on Fox News that the special counsel investigation's report was not written by special counsel Robert Mueller, but by "Hillary Clinton’s de facto legal team".[

I would say he is correct on that. We know the truth about who ran Mueller's team. Don't we? You don't? I am not impressed by your finding news articles that seem to support your position. As I have said previously, the CURRENT DNI has made a statement that no such intelligence has been received by him, or passed by him which would claim that the laptop is part of a Russian dis-info campaign. Now let's top right there? Is that true or false? If you claim it is false then I would gather it would not be too difficult to find out if the truth is that he is sitting on a trove of intelligence that states the opposite. In fact I would bet it would already have been leaked to the press. In fact Adam Schiff, surely would have called an immediate press conference to say he has current intelligence that was indeed passed to him by the DNI, and the intel agency heads likewise would have made statements that contradict the DNI, but alas, that has not happened has it. So who is pedalling conspiracy here me? As for Trump and his cabinet or who he has fired, what does that have to do with a laptop. Let's make this easy: Again, I expect Joe Biden to resign from running any minute now.  I could be wrong. But I can make a guess right? I I realize this board is HQ in Hong Kong but I assume I have some freedom of speech that will allow me make a guess.

Trump's spy chief just released 'Russian disinformation' against Hillary Clinton that he acknowledged may be fabricated

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified a dubious claim from Russian intelligence sources alleging that former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton "approved a campaign plan to stir up a scandal" against then-Republican candidate Donald Trump and his ties to Russia.

Ratcliffe said in a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham that the US intelligence community "does not know the accuracy" of the allegation "or the extent to which the Russian intelligence analysis may reflect exaggeration or fabrication."

The DNI's move raised questions about why the nation's spy chief declassified information that had not been corroborated and which he himself admitted may be false or exaggerated.

Apples and Oranges what is your point? One is not related to the other. One says that Intelligence on Russian activity indicates they were under the belief (The Russians) that Clinton had given the order to begin dis-info campaign against Trump claiming he was backed by the Russians (or to that effect) , and the other is the DNI stating no such intel exists on a laptop  that would indicate it came from the Russians or is part of a Russian disinfo campaign. What is your issue here?

Ratcliffe has no authority to speak for the FBI. The FBI has not supported what Ratcliffe maintains. It neither confirms not denies. Which is what you'd expect it to do if an investigation were underway.

You laid it out well.  You don't want to hear bad things about your idol.  That's typical of Trump supporters.  Sad to say.

Easy to get around the firewall.  Super easy.  But only if you are interested in reading a great source for news.

Again, Trump is not my Idol. I do not read the NY times I consider it a rag. I didn't read them when I lived in NYC either. I don't need you to advise me on what would be a great source of news.   Perhaps if I was a young man of about 12 or so I would need that kind of advice, but not now.  I pretty much have them all down, unless you want to recommend a good aggregator app. One which allows me to remove and add sources.
