A final hurdle that you Brexiteers will fail to get over.

All those promises. All that bluff and bluster. All that jingoistic nonsense. All those meaningless slogans.

The truth is going to hit hard come January.

Now I imagine that great efforts will be put in by you guys to blame anyone and everyone but yourselves for the disaster.

But the truth is. You guys wanted Brexit.

You got what you voted for.

We got four years of Remainer and EU subterfuge and obfuscation. That's not what we voted for.

There will be no downside to Brexit, only considerable upside. David Davis   The day after we vote to leave we hold all the cards and can choose the path we want. Michael Gove

  • Why should the EU negotiate with an ex-member, that voted to leave ? They should let Britain stand outside in the cold for twenty or twenty-five years. Then maybe let them back in, if they ask nicely.

  • I see 20 weak  countries  bailed  out by a  very few stronger  ones, how do you see that

Lets face it. You had no idea what you were voting for.

All you did was wrap a union flag around yourself and memorise some meaningless slogans that you still to this day trot out like they are scripture.

You got what you voted for. Do not try and blame anyone else for the impending damage Brexit is going to do to the UK.

Lets face it - you lost and still won't face it.

This prediction of yours, do you chant it every night in the hope it comes true?

I suspect you'll be livid when we do well from Brexit. And when we do well , if this causes the good folk of Scotland to want to remain in the union I think you'll spontaneously combust.

Oh we are fully aware you Brexiteers won.

We are just laughing at what you won and the huge difference between what you thought you were going to win.

No. I have no wish to see the UK damaged.

Thats why I believe remaining in the EU was better than leaving.

Correction; we got three years of Boris Johnson manoeuvring himself into position for his coup.

Then his not being found dead in a ditch.

Then his much self praised 'oven ready deal' which he know reckons was neither oven ready nor a deal!

All of which brings us full circle back to May's deal with which we could have left on the 29th March 2019 were it not for Boris' machinations!

Is that a prediction, a blind mantra, crystal ball gazing or just wishful thinking to prove your point.

Let's wait and see shall we.

And sacrifice the UK's sovereignty in the process. That's not what Brexit was meant to achieve, being tied to EU laws and governance in a common market arrangement.

But the leave campaign promised we would be staying the single market.

Thats what you voted for.

What part of Cameron saying that we will be leaving the single market don't you understand, I would have thought that someone from Manchester would understand that, unless we are holding on to something that Nigel Farage said.

Did she have the grace to put her hands up?

I'm not laughing; I do not find the dire effects of Brexit in any way amusing.

Although the repeated attempts by Brexiteers to convince themselves that they did the right thing does raise an occasional chuckle!

She is a remainer, so I very much doubt it, if she is like the remainers on here, she is still probably arguing the fact knowing damn well she's wrong.

Not long to wait now to see which way Boris jumps.  It has been widely claimed that he is desperately trying to hang on by his fingertips until the US election result is in.  If his buddy Trump wins then he will probably take a chance and take us out with a very limited deal and if Biden wins then you can expect him to end up with the EU's deal.

Doesn't that scenario work both ways DR?

Looking forward to another four years of both Boris and Donald.

The wailing and gnashing of teeth from the combined milksops of UK & US will no doubt raise again, but whatever.

How is Boris Johnson's deal different to Theresa May's?

Quote

Most of Mr Johnson's deal is the same as Mrs May's, but the new Northern Ireland protocol (which looks at how a hard border can be avoided in the event of no deal) replaces the Irish backstop which was highly controversial amongst MPs.

So you if you believe what you posted, believe that May's agreement was BRINO, then you must believe the same of Johnson's!

For how long? I believe the EU is on notice

So far I didn't find out  in what way the E.U. changed my daily life ( except the implementation of the Euro).

So, I not really care what will happen to the E.U..

Unless of course someone can tell me the concrete good things I enjoy now thanks to the E.U., and will lose once the E.U. is history.

If Brexit was a vote to leave the single market, why didn’t campaigners say so?

Quote

Starmer, though, does not need to retort that the EU referendum was not about the single market - that point is already being made by Oliver Norgrove, a former Vote Leave staffer. "We argue for things which are utterly achievable in the EEA and make no mention at all of leaving the single market," he wrote, while urging the public to check the official campaign's aims.

Perhaps you should take his advice and check Vote.Leave's pre referendum declared aims!

Further on in that article

Quote

Daniel Hannan, a Tory MEP and one of the faces of Vote Leave, declared: "Absolutely nobody is talking about threatening our place in the single market."

Yet again you have to be reminded that Cameron was not part of the Leave campaign; he campaigned for Remain!

Yes, Cameron did say that leaving the EU meant leaving the single market. A warning dismissed by leave campaigners as "Project Fear."

I haven't checked, but am prepared to accept what the bloke in your video is saying; but again the Vote.Leave response to any similar suggestion from Remain was "Project Fear."

We have since discovered that "Project Fear" is, in fact Project Reality!

I see that @welovesundaysatspace made the same points while I was typing.

Why are you showing quotes from people who have very little relevence to the outcome of the vote, did you forget Bob the Butchers quote or Norman the News Agent. There is only one person to take notice of, yes that's correct, our PM at the time David Cameron, he led the country and his voice counted.

And if you have any doubt that Cameron actually said we are leaving the 'Single Market' here is the proof, he said it at least 28 times!
