There will be no downside to Brexit, only considerable upside. David Davis   The day after we vote to leave we hold all the cards and can choose the path we want. Michael Gove

  • Why should the EU negotiate with an ex-member, that voted to leave ? They should let Britain stand outside in the cold for twenty or twenty-five years. Then maybe let them back in, if they ask nicely.

  • I see 20 weak  countries  bailed  out by a  very few stronger  ones, how do you see that

Not from Kent then?

Everything will be fine for everyone.

Deal or not, good one or not.

Both parties will claim that they won, the others lose.

Whatever the outcome, both parties will claim that this has always been what they wanted.

And of course if no deal, that everything is the fault of the other party,

that every proposition formulated by the others was inacceptable,

that the others categorically refused any sensible proposition.

You were never on the fence. You say you voted remain for purely personal financial reasons. Not because you thought it was right for the country.

No, I said I DIDN'T vote....

I think you'll find it's the EU that are in London with their begging bowl right now, capitulating on their red lines, whilst UK are standing firm on theirs.

Many will find you are right, as many will find it is the other way around.

Every party is convinced they are right, and the others wrong.

Every party will claim that the others don't want to see the reality.

So what has the EU done to "the EU would do everything they could to punish the UK, and not respect the essence / terms of the WA, thereby rendering it null and void?"

If Johnson had the foresight to predict all this, why did he sign it?

To get the bl..dy process moving past the starting post of course.

I see that, as with every other Brexiteer who has been asked, you are unable to say what the EU has done to "punish the UK" and "render the WA null and void."

As for your actual reply; you are saying that Johnson lied to the British electorate, lied to Parliament and signed an international treaty which he had no intention of abiding by!

Yet you call the EU untrustworthy!

HOWEVER - seeing the conduct of the EU since we signed Article 50, and their propensity towards punishing the UK for having the audacity to vote to leave, I am now off the fence and firmly behind the Brexit movement. I also never had any doubt that we will make a success of it ultimately.

I ask again: what is it you don't like about the conduct of the EU? What has the EU done to punish the UK?

As I've said; plenty of Brexiteers have made such allegations; yet none have been able to answer those questions. Will you now do so?

I agree, the UK will make some sort of success of Brexit; ultimately. But when; and will we ever be economically back to where we were before Brexit?

The voters didn't exactly rush to the Tories; they only increased their share of the vote by 1.4%; the LibDems increased theirs by 4.2%.

Swinson was not trounced; she lost by just 149 votes; to the EUphile SNP!

Not spinning any numbers; they are real and there for all to see and check. Parties supporting at least a second referendum on any WA received over 50% of the popular vote.

You can go on deluding yourself for ever, and probably will, but those are the facts for all to see.

Johnson was born in the USA as well. New York to be precise.

Of course the Brexiteers dont want Johnny Foreigner in good old blighty. Nah they made a Johnny Foreigner prime minister instead ????

You didn't expect this? Obviously, it was going to happen if we left not only the EU but the EEA.

Of course, as ever, the Tories are overselling it; making it seem that whilst in the EU we had no control over our borders. As anyone here who has applied for a visa so that their Thai spouse can live here, or even visit, can tell you; that is rubbish.

In the 20 years that I have taken an interest in UK immigration, there have been many changes to the Immigration Rules; none of which required any input and certainly no permission from the EU!

Like all EU/EEA members we always had complete control over our borders as far as non EU/EEA nationals are concerned and the FoM allows control over some aspects of immigration by EU/EEA nationals as well.

Question is are you going to be rushing back to the UK to help do all this rebuilding of the economy caused by Brexit?

After all. Its your patriotic duty to help get all that fruit and veg picked now your dream of preventing immigrants from doing it has been fulfilled.

Or will you just be staying in your armchair?

Just stay in your armchair and carry on being a keyboard warrior.

Remainers didn't vote for anything apart for 'meaningful votes' which turned out to be meaningless, and now they complain that they are being hard done by.????????????

I am not apologising. I know Brexit is stupidity on stilts and was only brought about by feeding the gullible meaningless slogans and buzzwords which anyone with half a brain could see through. And of course there was always the unspoken but inferred aspect of immigration.

Now you tell me what kind of person would be susceptible to the above.
