Places to stay for max 2 weeks on Jomtien Beach rd.
I stay at the jomtien beach penthouses, Soi 9 usually for a week to 10 days twice a year. I find it to be excellent. One bedroom condo apartment with separate lounge, kitchenette and balcony. Daily cleaning if required. I book via Agoda and costs around 1,500 - 1,750 per night. It's a mix of owner occupied and rentals. Nice swimming pool and never had any problems with noise either inside or outside. 2 minutes to beach, 7/11 at top of Soi and the Kiwi restaurant is a couple of shops further down. -

Selling my condo in Chiang Mai, advise please
In principle I agree with you. But it seems there are often problems with the management. With some managements they are not allowed to give out any information about what is available. With some managements they give out information, but very selective. When I bought my condo I receive the information that this condo is available from the condominium manager. She introduced me to the owner, that took about a minute. Later the owner who sold it to me told me he has to pay 3% commission to the agent = condominium manager. She received her salary as the manager and then cash in private commission from the owner. I asked him why he pays the manager who works anyhow in that place. And he told me otherwise she would not mention his condo is for sale. And exactly that is what I found out about another condo in the same building. It was for sale and the management knew about that. But somehow, they forgot to mention this condo because the owner didn't want to give the management of the building any money to tell people that this is for sale. So, getting back to this thread. If you want that the condo management tells people that your place is for sale, then expect to pay them commission for that. -

Actually you were the one claiming to have made some kind of salient point that nobody else was intelligent enough to understand. The debate had moved on to the results of such tariffs, such as stimulating the domestic economy by encouraging people to buy locally produced goods instead of foreign imports. Or maybe encouraging/forcing foreign countries to reduce their exorbitant tariffs on your goods in order to increase your exports. I think everyone posting was already aware that tariffs on imported goods increase the retail price of those imported goods 😆. But thanks for the story about your truck. -

Elon Musk Sparks Controversy, Calling the UK a ‘Tyrannical Police State’
He is observing (correctly) that the UK is becoming an authoritarian police state that is policing certain political opinions and arresting and jailing people for these opinions. Maybe "centrist democrats" do not want to hear these uncomfortable truths but I personally think that someone with as much reach as Musk has should use his voice to highlight this. Maybe if enough voices tell Starmer that he is in the wrong it will eventually seep into his thick skull and he will be shamed into resigning. I haven't seen him post anything about the clowns in the UK government that I would consider "ignorant".- 2
