Victims of an online scam through "www.tiktok008.com" say they were ripped off after putting down hefty membership fees.

For investments between 399 baht and 91,999 baht members could click on hearts for rewards.

"A" thought she could get 560 baht a day or 16,800 baht a month.

She had applied for a 12,999 baht membership on October 18th but  two days when her rewards had not come through she contacted the site that said they were busy.

By the 22nd of October the site had been shut down.

The scam is thought to have cost people 40 million baht.

The Department of Special Investigations are looking into the case after accepting it yesterday.

If the rewards seem high for your money, then its a Scam.

Why are so many Thai people so gullible for these and other obviously crooked Scams

Greed is why, they get scammed, all they can see is untold wealth coming their way
