Night Venues Inspected in Pattaya

The police are at the moment very serious on license inspection of night entertainment venues and is even urine testing for drugs at various locations. On 2nd May

Mr. Phongthasit Pijanan - Deputy Chief of Banglamung District together with Pattaya Police Chief – Pol. Col. Sutin Sappuang and divisions involved went out to inspect night entertainment venues around Pattaya. Many complaints have come in about underage people being admitted; teenagers using these venues for drug taking activities. Some venues open way over the time limit and cause a lot of noise that disturbs residents.

The team politely inspected the staff at PP 69 Cabaret Show, combined with women, men, and lady boys and tested their urine. One guest who was there at the time; Mr. Somphon, aged 25, was found with drug positive urine and was taken back to the police station.

Later, the team moved to Pattaya Soi 6, to inspect beer bars, ago-go bars, and various places to find 9 venues with incorrect licenses, therefore had to escort the venues’ owners for questioning at the Pattaya Police Station.
