How long (duration) are ED med precripitons usually written for?

Featured Replies

I will start going on prescription, I don't want the mental load of carrying meds without one anymore.

Anyone know how long a prescription like this tends to be valid?

Also, is there any provider other than a physician who can write them (legally)?

Can go to any pharmacy and get Sidegra (thailand's version of Viagra) without a prescription

It is illegal and the police demand bribes or jail. They do a lot of shakedowns here too. Most will get away/be fine but I would rather get prescribed.

Really?

In most city areas they sell it in pharmacies and open on the street.  On lower Sukhumvit Bangkok, even near the police box.

And why carry them with you?  Even the generic Cialis will last up to 36 hours.

But, try a clinic if you really want a prescription seems like a waste though.

How and where are these supposed shakedowns happening, are the knocking on doors, stopping people in the streets, roadblocks ???

I have never heard anything more ridiculous.

Seriously, nobody has ever been stopped and asked to provide prescription for possessing viagra

Prescriptions are written for an amount of a drug, not for a time period or duration, its not an all you can buy within a set time frame.

One shake down only in Pattaya I heard of, an Indian guy carrying boxes of Kamagra by Walking St Police box, of course they saw an opportunity and got 4,000 baht off him. There are certain health conditions where you shouldn't use Ed pills

on the contrary, the shakedowns mentioned by the OP have happened. Specifically in Bangkok, Nana area and often right near pharmacy selling without prescription.

It is prudent to get a script and, as mentioned, there is no time limit to them)

Only a doctor can write it tho.

No problem in Pattaya. Personally, I use a different kind of ED which I get on prescription from the UK. Gets sent to me in the post. my friend in the UK takes Kamagra gel which is expensive in the UK but off prescription. I have a guy on speed dial that supplies Kamagra gel, 800 baht for a box of 50. Recently posted 2 boxes to him which arrived at his home in 6 days. Box had clearly been examined for contents but no problems. Too much paranoia about Kamagra, many bar girls carry a couple of sachets in their handbags for "emergencies".

One thing that has become more difficult to source is CIalis or its generic equivalent. I've no Idea why.
