Brian Kemp (R) to persuade the state’s legislature to overturn the results of the election in the state hours ahead of a campaign rally for Georgia Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R) and David Perdue (R), according to The Washington Post. The president called Kemp on Saturday morning and reportedly pressured the governor to call a special session of the legislature to overturn the results and appoint electors who would back him, a person familiar with conversation told the Post. Trump also asked Kemp to demand an audit of absentee ballot signatures, the Post reported, which Kemp has no power to do. Trump asked Georgia governor to persuade state legislature to overturn Biden victory in state: report | TheHill Thankfully Kemp rejected trump's approach. You would think trumps repeated attempts to disenfranchise millions of voters would rule him out of any future attempt to regain power, but apparently not; a truly terrible indictment of trump's corruption of US society. 4

I don't hold Kemp in high regard, but I'm pleased that even he won't break laws and overrule election results. As Stacey Abrams will attest to, Kemp can be shameless in voter suppression and disenfranchising legitimate voters, but once the vote is in he (so far) will accept the result. After four years of Trump there are still some lines regarding integrity and rule of law that some influential Republican will not cross. I hope we will never learn what happens if Trump is given another four years. 4

I watched some of trump's rally in Georgia, it was unbelievable seeing the worship of the man, applauding every time he spoke an outright lie, three finger gang like finger gestures (no idea what they represent) and so on. it's previously been said trump supporters mirror cult behaviour; scary to observe the outcome in a relatively short period of time of repeated lies and disinformation on so many people. 4

Has the OK sign really mutated into a white-power symbol? See image below - is this the gesture you're referring to? While it was originally just an "OK" gesture, as the article above explains, it has taken on a different meaning recently, especially among certain right-wing groups. 1 1

No, it was a thumb and two fingers held apart

I'm not sure Kemp rejected it as much as knows there's nothing he can do about it. It's the law and he can't go against it. Sad Trump and his cult followers don't understand this.
