Dust Mite Allergy Supplies In Thailand / Bkk

Featured Replies

It seems that I have a dust mite allergy. I did a lot of reading on this topic and consulted a terrible Doctor at Bangkok International Hospital who just gave me some pills and didnt want to make a test with me. Anyway I got all my air cons cleaned, the whole apartment and bought anti dust mite bed covers (even though they are not complete encasings how they should be). This helped a lot but I still have some of the sympthoms like a slight cough and running nose from time to time.

I asked in several Watson, Boots and other pharmacy stores to find a washing additive for my cloth and bed sheets but had no luck. They just point me to a general anti bacterial additive. My Thai wife also called some places and stores but couldnt find anything. I look for two things:

1. Complete bed encasings like these here: http://www.natlallergy.com/allergy/product..._Encasings.html

2. Anti Dust Mite Additives to wash my cloth:

http://www.natlallergy.com/cat/1323/anti-a...undry-care.html

It would be really really great if anyone would know where I could get any of the two things listed above in Bangkok. I would be happy to buy it here instead of ordering it from the states which again would take several weeks.

I have a bad dust-mite allergy myself. If you put me in a dusty carpeted hotel room I'm done for.

There are a lot of pollens flying about on the breeze, especially after a rainy period and you may be reacting to pollens without knowing it. I often have sneezing sessions at random at various times of the year. Usually people who react to dust mites have multiple allergies.

A non-carpeted room is most important, plus using the aircon to keep the air dry during the humid season is also useful. I left my apartment for 2 months recently and was greeted with an unbelievable amount of mold when I returned. Hot damp weather really helps molds grow around the house and molds can also cause a lot of allergies.
