We get about a dozen threads like this each year and that is how it almost always turns out.

why? It’s never been limited to that.

Motor vehicle are mandate to have a form of insurance (พรบ). this will cover the first 30,000 baht.

The rest will be covered by NHSO.

Without such mandate insurance the motorcyclist will have to pay 30,000 baht.
