Yes. Democracy may yet die! Here's hoping.

Trump will pardon all the signers of his bs and step down letting Pence pardon him. They're a bunch of shysters, religious-criminals, and haters of what freedom really means. I hope Trump sucks up more and more of his cult members donations and leaves them high and dry like he has all his life in business. Trump and his followers aren't just poor losers, they are against American values.

  • Popular Post

Trump is a sore loser and narcissist.

He has fired so many people in the past but he can't accept being fired himself?

Why can't he just hand over the power peacefully like the past presidents?

Faith just got smashed by reality. Trump’s fatigue and realization will soon set in when faced with the total annihilation of the lawsuits. Mass desertion of his base expected post Trump.

Well, IMO you are correct that if the senate remains GOP majority, Biden is in for a hard time ????.

I agree that the Democrats having the trifecta is NOT good for American politics... but probably not for the same, narrow reasons as you do. Their retention of the Senate would be the best outcome. However, if they abuse the will of the people and instead of holding the Democrats feet to the fire on policy and law and decide to pursue a rancorous, petty and baseless witch-hunt on Biden just because "That's what they did to our guy", then they better make the most of their two years of 'power' before the US voters kick them into touch at the mid-terms.

It seems there is at least a little hope not the whole of the USA works mafia style like I do you a favor and you do me a favor.

But it's still disturbing to see how many people over there are willing to destroy democracy for that <censored> Trump.

Don't be too happy. The resistance begins January 21.

It's a pity the SCOTUS didn't allow it as if the election was won fair and square Biden would still be POTUS come Jan 20, but the matter would be settled. Just refusing to take the case means that the accusation of fraud will not be going away any time soon. 70 million angry Americans is not a good way to start a term.

However, IMO there are around 70 million Americans that will feel aggrieved, and do everything they can to bring Biden down.

Which is why the Biden administration's first order of business should be to support Congressional hearings into the actions of the outgoing (Yes!) Trump administration's baseless efforts to undermine public confidence in the Election process.

Soon to be former President Trump, his former Administration officials, sitting members of the House and Senate who by their public support or silence, should be held to account for an unprecedented effort to deny the votes of the American people.

Their actions should be examined. They should be named, shamed and censured in the Congressional Record to deter any any similar actions in the future..

Meanwhile, under the cover of these spurious attempts to deny the will of the people, Republican legislators have been furiously filling every available Federal office vacancies with people opposed to the policies likely to be advanced by the incoming Biden administration. A minefield of obstruction.. Many will head Agencies that will be vitally important in the coming years and cannot be easily removed from office.

There is a Constitutional theory called the "Unitary Presidency" , strongly supported by the Federalist Society, which would allow Biden to summarily fire all of these appointees on the grounds that they are fundamentally opposed to the President's policies. Yes, the same Federalist Society which has provided many Trump judicial appointments. Poetic justice. What goes around comes around..

If the GOP still hold the senate they might even impeach and convict Biden.

You may be right about unrest continuing, Biden has a mammoth job to do healing America.

"If the election was won fair and square"? It was, it's only Trump's false claims saying otherwise.

If I remember correctly, any effort to impeach Biden has to go through Congress first, where the Democrats are in the majority.

Politicians will always do embarrassing things, with the exception of Trump. He is oblivious to that emotion. Sociopaths reject it as a weakness.

"Entertaining"? Sounds to me you are a devotee of schadenfreude.

Sigh. Did you even read my post before launching into a reply? Obviously missed "if the GOP wins a majority in the house come 2022, expect some large payback. If the GOP still hold the senate they might even impeach and convict Biden".

Expect the same sort of <deleted> as Trump got the past 4 years, and if the GOP wins a majority in the house come 2022, expect some large payback. If the GOP still hold the senate they might even impeach and convict Biden.

Regardless, the investigation into Hunter Biden will IMO hurt Joe Biden, and the Chinese spy sleeping with a Democrat politician should be satisfyingly embarrassing to Pelosi, who is downplaying it. I'm sure there are a lot of embarrassing things to come out about Democrats, so I'm expecting US politics to be entertaining for some time to come.

Fox news talking points to a tee. You are obviously a fan of Tucker and Sean.

Short of an insurrection or coup d'etat, please tell me what LEGAL avenues Trump has to reverse the election result. I am always interested in fantasies, I have a few of my own. Such as Trump being taken out of the White House in handcuffs or a straitjacket.

Cognitive dissonance at its finest......not even the GOP packed SCOTUS are interested in these lunatic claims......

They 'd rather burn down the whole house only because they hate it to live in the basement.

All people are to blame about this situation: the expendables as well as the people, who allowed this big rift to widen only for a few more percentage of margin.

Hilarious.

Two reasons Biden won't be impeached.

He's an honorable man. If explicitly impeachable offenses are revealed he will resign for the good of the country.

Secondly. Kamala Harris!

In what bizarre universe would the party of Mr. Trump hand the presidency to her on a platter.

Interesting. IMO it's the House that gets to impeach not the Senare. And ,by the way, my opinion happens to coincide with reality.

A lot of ifs in what you post, I did miss that one. Some mights too. Impeachment is one thing, conviction different story. One only has to look at Trump's impeachment for that.

Well if there are already fantasies of impeaching soon to be President Biden, that may indicate at least more of Mr  Trump's fans are coming around to facing the reality that his shambolic presidency will soon be over.

Silver lining.

True enough, Kamala Harris is the Republican Party's worst nightmare. I suspect even Trump is wary of her, referring to her as a "nasty woman" is actually a compliment from him.

Yes and most democrats would prefer her to be president rather than Biden. So make our day Republicans!

I don't think anything from the GOP at this point could be considered 'payback'. They've done pretty much everything they wanted in their wilding over the past four years. It would just be the more of the same rubbish from them. Payback is the wrong word.

You're right about Biden.  That's the advantage the Dems have of having someone like Biden as President.  The senior Republicans all know him.  This is what Lindsey Graham really thinks of Joe Biden...

Yes....faith....I have faith that The Trump vs The State of New York trials are going to be highly entertaining and satisfying...and seeing as the Trump legal team is currenlty on a 60 case losing streak. Yes, faith...here Ric, you will love this and it kinda describes where Trump is right now:

“And our faith changes us. I know it’s changed me. It renews in us a sense of possibility. It allows us to believe that although we are all sinners, and that at times we will falter, there’s always the possibility of redemption. Every once in a while, we might get something right, we might do some good.”  -  President Barack Obama

Can a president remove a Supreme Court justice he installed?  How about three of them?

IMO most democrats would have preferred Bernie Sanders, they were just too worried Trump would beat the socialism drum. Bernie seems to be very quiet lately.

I'm just wondering what BS Trump is going to tweet after effectively being told to get lost.

The House impeaches, not the Senate.

Was he wrong?  IMHO, many in the GOP need kicking.  Time to stop the insanity.
