Belgium never demand, we are not in a position to do so.

We ask, we suggest, we oppose sometimes for a while, but that's it.

The U.K. as the E.U. has of course the right to accept or refuse whatever.

The very proof of that is, that negotiations are still going on after more than  4 years.

Very true thanks to likes of Teresa May and the EU not wanting UK to leave without a deal.

That it is thanks to Mrs. May, or anyone else, is intern British matters, of no concern to outsiders.

That the E.U. doesn't want that the U.K. leave without a deal is high probable, but they have certainly not the power to stop them to leave, if they want to.

So far Mr. Johnson don't want to leave, even break his word for it.

Now, a politician breaking his word is not really an unicum, it happens worldwide.

I see what you are getting at as many here say but Boris breaking his word is not true his playing politics,  he said before leaving UK for this last stand off there will not be a deal unless EU backs off.

Boris wants out and has may it clear talking to news stations saying be prepared for the WTO OZ terms to be what will happen.

What on earth and why don't others like you understand about that.

Not quite the same.

The EU’s ‘it’s the best deal, take it or leave it’ is an open ended offer.

Johnson’s ‘back down by a Sunday night or we’ll walk’ is a threat with a definitive time attached.

The EU’s offer remains open, Johnson’s threat turned out to be hollow.

Your guess, as so often, is groundless.

Do you remember J-C Juncker et al saying that Mrs May's best ever deal, was the only deal and that they wouldn't improve or negotiate further? Then they did.

Or is you memory, as so often, rather selective?

The logical conclusion being the UK intends to reduce worker conditions to below those of the EU.

And ordinary working people voted for it.

Are you suggesting all member states in the EU have the same worker conditions?

Because they don't. So what will the EU conditions be? French working hours, German pay rates? Luxembourg / Irish tax haven rates?

You have a point. Working conditions for UK workers are already worse than they are in the most economically developed EU nations. Now the question is how much lower will the UK go.

What’s that got to do with Johnson ditching his promise to walk?

No I am not.

The EU has minimum worker conditions an a number of unified worker rights, member nations are free to offer their workers higher conditions and better rights.

To the EU that has been stealing them for years. Now, come 2021, they'll have to pay the UK for them. The EU doesn't want to do that. Tough siht.

  • Depends how  many of the EU wage slaves stay or how many more manage to squeeze in before the deadline.
