I would have gone for a beer and come back in the morning, i had a friend in the Uk some years back his wife locked him in the house, she locked all the windows and locked the door from the outside with the deadlock, he sent her a message to tell her she had 10 minutes or he would call the fire service, big laugh was she went up the road and had a puncture and had to come back for help.

I have to give my Thai GF credit, the rare tiffs with her last 20 minutes maximum. Most are communication failures.

My x (non Thai) once locked me out of the house after a tiff back in my homeland. I went outside for a smoke and to cool down, and saw her close the front door, so when I finished a couple of smokes and calmed down I knocked on the door, and she came to the timber door as I could see her face through the glass which is at head level, I said let me in, she had this really evil look on her face and said with this smile and evil look on her face; you can sleep in the street for all I care, this evil look and smile would freak anyone out, it was as if she was possessed, I said fine, if that's the way you want to play it, two can play this game and I will win hands down B !

We used to argue a hell of a lot, she was loopy, I mean really loopy, insecure, jealous, possessive, and physical, no signs of this in the relationship until we moved in together.

So what did I do, I went to the phone box around the corner and called my best mate, no mobiles back in the day and asked him to pick me up around the corner, he said he was busy but would sent one of his workers to meet me, so I gave him my location, this mate was a welder and had a workshop at the back of his place where he ran his business from.

When I arrived at his workshop, he said lets go for lunch, so went inside where his wife had prepared lunch and we had a few beers, he asked what happened and I explained, he then said what are your my plans, as he knew I was a thinker and didn't take sheet from anyone.

I said I want out, and he then asked how I was gonna get back into my place, I said, she will be at work tomorrow and we are going around for you to measure up, i.e. I wanted him to make me a front and rear steel security door, the place already had an alarm system which I would change the code on once in, just in case she had any thoughts of breaking a glass window to enter as all the windows had key locks in them, and that might cross her mins after she found the place had steel security doors fitted.

I spent the night as my mates place, both he and his wife, long time friends still to this day were very accommodating and the next day he drove me to my place, measured up and we went back to his workshop, I asked a local locksmith to meet me there at 2pm as left my keys inside and needed to get back in, but couldn't get away from work till then, he said no problem, just ring me when your leaving work and we can tee up the time for then, too easy, my mate finished with the steel security doors at 1pm, I rang the locksmith and 2pm was teed up, the locksmith who met us there literally at the same time we got there, opened the door, I turned off the alarm, locksmith changed the lock, I paid him and he was on his way, my mate put in the front and rear steel security doors and I reset the alarm code.

My x came "home" from work at around 6pm, was still daylight, all her stuff were in black plastic bags at the front, she couldn't even try to use her key because she was staring at this steel security door, she knocked on the door really loudly, she was spitting chips so to speak, seeing her stuff on the front porch plus the security steel door made her really angry, she said open the F door, I put my face to the glass on the door at head level and had this really nice smile on my face, pearly whites and all, glazing at her, and I said, you can sleep in the gutter from now on as far as I care, she looked at me as if she could kill, said she was going to call the cops while walking away, with my reply being while your at it, ask them to explain to you what 9/10's of the law means.

The cops came around with her about an hour later and the cop said I couldn't do what I did, and my reply was well your wrong there officer, I did, and I know my rights so she can huff and puff as much as she wants, but there is no way in hell she is getting back into this place without a court order and that ain't gonna happen tonight is it officer, I also gave the cop my lawyers card and said feel free to call him as I am sure he will explain to you what you already know, or you can give it to her to get her lawyer to communicate with my lawyer.

It was all worth it, ended up selling the place about 6 month later for 20k more than the sworn valuation stated and split it 50/50, she didn't try to get back in, no doubt her lawyer would have told her it was pointless, i.e. unless she had lots of money to throw away.

Moral of the story, know the laws in the country you reside, who said "hell has no fury like a woman scorned" LOL

That's the last time any B has ever locked me out, I now also have a spare key outside, just in case my more suited Thai wife of 14 years who I rarely argue with ever went loopy on me and tried it, that said, the house I built is hers, that is a given, as is the car I bought her, the kids can also be hers, the key outside is only there as a back up, i.e. so I can get back in to get my passport and be on my merry way ????
