Moonlover
A while ago I rated Stanley Clarke was the world's greatest bass player. Paul McCartney disagrees with me. What would I know? ???? 'Abraham Laboriel is one of the world’s greatest bass players according to Paul McCartney. A lot of musicians must agree because he is the most recorded bass player of all time' says Boyd Matson. Popular Post Andy from Kent
My inclination is to amend calling them the greatest and simply say "great guitarists" You can't leave out Mel when it comes to referencing a great guitarist. Other than a lack of opportunity, I can't imagine why she couldn't stand next to and perform with the aforementioned guitarists. And I kind of doubt growing up in a Muslin country as she did she got a lot of encouragement from her family and friends. Rock music doesn't usually blast from the mosque speakers. Here's Mel:
Andy from Kent
Even without her great guitar skills these young lady will have men clamoring to open doors for her. There're just so many talented people, I wonder how some manage to rise above others in competition for recognition.

There's also a one hour interview of her life and career on YT worth watching.

frantick
Probably not the greatest, but shouts out to Don Felder for being one of the most copied guitarists for writing and his solo in Hotel California. (No, Joe Walsh didn't do that) I like the acoustic version myself. And to Lindsey Buckingham just for doing it different than anyone else.
