In theory you might be right. But how would you do that in real life?

I.e. I often like girls from Buriram. Should I go there for a month and try to find a nice girl? 

And if I find one who is nice and innocent will she come back with me to Bangkok after I know her maybe a week or two?

Because I certainly don't want to live up country.

Thank Heavens I'm the cook in the family...ha ha ha. But having said that...my GF manages a TOPS market in Bangkok and works literally 7 days a week (even on days off...calls from District manager, updating spreadsheets, covering for other store managers in crisis, etc etc). Not a job I would recommend BTW.

You don't need to go rural....75% of the hard working Thai women in Bangkok are simply here from the provinces working hard and sending back cash to mom and dad. Same values but with a modern update. In my MooBaan, I would say that 30 to 40% of the townhomes are owned by single Thai women with professional jobs, seemingly working most of the time, leaving early and coming home late. They are all around you....but of course..if you're looking for a 20 something little dainty....maybe you won't find those qualities too easily.

I don't need taking care of......we share a house and relationship....I'm not an invalid (yet)

A lot of blokes come to Thailand for a holiday, fall in love with a prostitute from the North East of Thailand which is known throughout the rest of Thailand as where the prostitutes come from. The local whorehouses throughout the country are stocked with mostly Issan women. 
 

Then these blokes uproot their lives and often move to Issan and are are surprised that the prostitutes family and social circle are low educated and the girl 

is a gold digger
with low self-confidence and self-esteem
and a propensity to cheat
is selfish
and lazy

has a need for others to take care of her
with no interest in professional work.

 

And then these blokes instead of blaming themselves for their bad choices thinking with their small brain, decide to blame “Thailand”, become highly irritable which leads them to make more bad decisions and group Thais into one big group who are all the same. 
 

 

I am not saying all girls from Issan are like this, most are not.

But farangs do have a special knack in seeking them out and choosing the most unsuitable ones. 
Often with a self belief that they are some “rescuing” her and that she will “change”

Then the farang is again surprised that she isn’t showing enough gratitude for being hooked up permanently with a farang twice her age and weight who struggled to get a woman in his own country, and who can not even converse with any of her friends and family, often with special dietary needs and is a burden on her, unable to even do simple things like give directions to the house etc. He is an embarrassment and unable to fill her sexual/romantic needs and she will get it elsewhere.

 

Meanwhile the said farang sits in Issan, lonely and wallowing in his own self pity and coming up with “theories” about Thais in general and especially Thai women.

Yes. There are alot of good women here. You are simply not finding them. When you meet the ones you describe, you date them once, figure out what they are made of, and move on. It is all about qualifying your prospects. Look for higher quality, and qualities of worthiness, and you will find it.

Well I guess I must be the luckiest guy on earth. My girl works harder than I ever did, looks after her family, makes merit at the temple, and treats me like a (beloved Leader). She is truthful, kind and loving. She chastises me sometimes because she thinks I spend too much money (I don't).

I'm aware of this. I am not a Christian, in fact I practice the principles of the Buddha to the best of my abilities daily.  Bhuddism is not a religion, it is a practice, it does not preclude the existence of God. And for what it's worth, My Thai Buddhist girlfriend also believes in God.

You can label women as much as you like they are all a mixed bag west or southeast from what I see that's why if you want a relationship you are always gonna take a chance.

Hmmm, self proclaimed Buddhist, who isn't a christian and yet openly thanks god, when Bhuddists don't believe in god/gods. As a fellow Bhuddist, I understand that the Bhudda himself rejected the idea of a 'creator god' and went so far as to call it a distraction from the path of enlightenment.
