For those too lazy to read the posts. I have already been to the hospital, so please refrain from posting that I should go.

Check the battery in your BP machine. Sometimes a low battery will give an inaccurate reading.

Went to Bangkok/Pattaya Hospital and they did the usual tests, ECG, Urine and Blood tests, all came back normal/ My BP at the hospital was 210/105 so they gave me 20mg Manidipine and after an hour my BP started to come down, to the point it was 110/60 by the time I got home. I'm now supposed to take the Manidipine every day along with the other BP medication.

Thanks for that. In the years following my change to the Ace inhibitor my blood pressure started to rise again and the doctor in the UK prescribed Amlodipine along with the Ace inhibitor. The last few letters of a drug usually indicate the family so I looked it up, looks like Manidipine is effectively a newer version in the same family so will bear that in  mind. Hope it works out for you.

To the OP. GO TO HOSPITAL. The risk of 1) catching COVID 2) dying of COVID is much less than your risk of a heart attack or stroke at this point.

Read three post before yours.

Our OP has been to the hospital and appears to be sorted.

I'm going to close this thread for now.

Please PM me or any active mod if it needs re-opening.

OP, more investigations are in order to find out why this happened. Once your BP is well stabilized consider a stress test and possibly a coronary CT
