Towards the end of today’s CCSA briefing on the COVID-19 situation in Thailand, Dr. Taweesin Wissanuyothin introduced a new spokeswoman, Dr. Apisamai Srirangsan, who will be joining the team providing the latest information to the public.

Dr. Apisamai is a psychologist, who will be helping to provide clear explanations for the public. He said that the CCSA will be taking on more responsibilities, which will include doing more field work, to understand the real problems and develop solutions to help combat the COVID-19 outbreak.

Dr. Apisamai was Miss Thailand 1999 and a former news anchor for ITV, Channel 7 and NBT. She is currently the Director of the Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery Center at Bangkok Hospital.
