No, they were being beaten up, so were otherwise occupied trying to stay alive rather than take time to assist a terrorist who would likely have been beating them, too, if she hadn't gotten trampled to death.

 

Essentially what her friend was saying is 'Hey, stop beating that cop to death because maybe he can help one of our fellow terrorists'.
