Blood glucose meter

Featured Replies

Looking to buy blood glucose meter from Lazada, but there is so much choice, in all price ranges.

I know they are not 100% accurate, so I'm looking for the best bang for the buck.

This of course includes price of replacement strip and lancets.

Recommendations welcome

I’ve been using Accu-Chek for years, pretty good until you run into a batch of bad strips. Recalls in other countries but not here. I’ve got the Performa unit and Performa strips. Funny thing, I blamed the bad readings on the meter and got a new one, the last Performa from Accu-Chek in Thailand. Got to check out Lazada.

I just checked Lazada for Performa strips (25 / box). The best price was 380 baht, most offerings were 25 - 100 baht more. I get mine in Bangkok @ 400 baht. I think the Fascino chain charges a bit more. On Lazada you can also find 50 / box. My Bangkok contact said they were old stock.

A good idea would be to get top 10 lists from google, find a few you like and check them on Lazada.

I had this one in mind, because it seems to get a good rating.

25 replacement strips are 299 and 25 replacement lancets are 100 Baht.

I tried that, but those listed in those reviews are either not available here, or at inflated price.

The popular ones on Lazada, I can't find any credible reviews outside the lazada site, hence the need for this thread

Take a look at a large ' Facino " Pharmacy store.

They will have several to look, and choose from that will suit your needs.

The point is, on Lazada there are many that suit my needs, going from 500 Baht to almost 3000 Baht.

Unfortunately by looking at them doesn't tell me if they are reliable or not.

I don't trust the reviews or ratings on Lazada, as I have bought other things there, which got high ratings, and were utter c*ap.

Hence my question in the hope some people have bought from Lazada and can give feedback

Hey Sysco, do look up Accu-Chek monitor (several models available) on Lazada then check  reviews from the US and commonwealth counties. Make sure the strips are available in the next place you head to.
