Over 10 million confirmed for Rao Chana





BANGKOK (NNT) - More than 10.5 million people have confirmed their participation in the Rao Chana program via the Pao Tang application, after Krungthai Bank had to suspend and reopen the system due to high traffic.

UAE says Dubai princess being cared for at home as UN expresses concern




The U.N. has called on the UAE to present proof of life that one of the ruler of Dubai's daughters is still alive. A video published earlier this week apparently shows Sheikha Latifa saying she's being held prisoner. Adam Reed reports.


ZURICH/DUBAI (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates said on Friday that Sheikha Latifa, one of the ruler of Dubai's daughters, was being cared for at home as the U.N. human rights watchdog asked the UAE for proof that she is alive amid growing international concern about her fate.

BANGKALAN, Indonesia (Reuters) - Forty-six whales stranded on a beach on the Indonesian island of Madura have died, while rescuers managed to push three back out to sea, the provincial governor said on Friday.

Betong airport to open in April

Well known DJ Matoom given suspended jail term and fine




Well known Thai disc jockey Techin Ploypetch, alias DJ Matoom, was sentenced to one month in prison and fined 10,000 baht today (Friday), with the prison term suspended for one year, after he was found guilty by Bangkok South District Court of violating the Emergency Decree.

MANILA (Reuters) - The Philippines' health ministry on Saturday reported 239 new coronavirus deaths, the second-highest daily increase in casualties since the pandemic started, and 2,240 infections.
