Help figuring out what medicine this is...?

Featured Replies

I am so, so sorry for posting this question, but can't figure out how else to get this information and I suspect someone will know the answer.

I'm not even sure what Asian language it's in. ????

Does anyone know what medicine this is:

Aspirin 100mg.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Ben!

You can get Aspirin in any pharmacy, just ask for "Cardiac aspirin" or "Aspirin for the heart", it will be around 70-100mg dosage, so to get a "normal" 300mg dosage you need to take 3-4 tablets.

So far no luck, but thank you for your information.

Hi Tagged. Aspirin is definitely available in Thailand/Bkk, it's interesting to hear you're not finding it. Maybe try asking for acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). If they don't have it they may suggest ibuprofin, which I think is more readily available, or Paracetamol, which is acetaminophen (often Tylenol), not an NSAID.)

"aspirin" is a known pain reliever in Thailand in legitimate pharmacies. The blood-thinning daily dose is 81mg and is also commonly available over the counter specifically at that dose.

It's called Aspent (but not pronounced in any way you could imagine).

Sold in almost every pharmacy @ 30bht for 60 tablets.

Just show them the picture on your smartphone.

Just do not use the old term "children" aspirin!  Or expect the murderer looks and forget about anyone selling to you.  Aspirin has a very negative reputation in Thailand (and it's not a money maker) so even when they have they may say they do not.

Besides Aspent, other brand of low dose Asprin are:

  • Asatabs
  • Aspilets
  • B-Aspirin 81

300 mg dose aspirin is available too. Brand names are:

  • Ascot
  • Aspent (the low dose is Aspent-M, regular dose is plain Aspent)
  • Aspirin BD (comes in bith 325 and 81 mg strengths)

Difficulty finding it seems to be mainly a Pattaya thing. If that is where yo uare, try Fascino main branch

You can also easily get it online here http://drugstorebangkok.com//?s=aspirin
