Only done one really clever thing in my life & that was selling our beautiful house in Saraphi in 2013 and moving to Oz, where our family breathes pure clean air 24/7. I loved C Mai when I first moved there in 1992 - it's horrid for 8 or 9 months a year now & getting worse - anyone who says it isn't is on another planet. Must admit I am seriously considering moving to the North of Scotland for similar reasons........longer term, heat and security of water supply will make Scotland ever more popular

Popular Post Chill27
I've come to the conclusion that Thais love breathing in smoke. Currently in an Issan village and aside from unbearable noise pollution from thumping "music", smoke is everywhere, especially after 5pm, cooking time. Just returned from Koh Samui and even there, the beautiful scenery inland was constantly covered in a smoke haze. I'm allergic to smoke, so it's making me seriously reassess where to settle down for the rest of my days.

Popular Post Golden Triangle
I really do feel sorry for you lot living up in Chiang Mai & Chiang Rai, the air here in Pattaya ain't the best but so much better than yours, maybe you need someone, a wife, a girlfriend, a Thai friend even, to start a clean air movement that involves mostly Thais, get local TV & radio involved, then once it gets going the farang husbands and boyfriends can join in. This pathetic excuse of a government take no notice whatsoever.
Popular Post spidermike007
The people should be asking questions of the leadership. What are they doing anyway, besides attempting to put down protests? 1. How can you demonstrate to us, that you are up for the task of leadership? 2. What are you doing to prove that you can and will protect us against Covid? You failed miserably with the second wave. How are we to trust you now? 3. Instead of contact tracing us, how about we trace you, and make sure you are doing your job? How about you report to us daily, and let us know how you are handling and containing this epidemic that happened on your watch? Stop talking, and start working, and doing your jobs. 4. Why did you not prevent this? How did you allow these corrupt officials to let infected people in? Why is nobody in a position of power being arrested? Why aren't heads rolling? 5. Why are you not making the vaccines more of a priority? Why isn't the army sacrificing some of its huge budget for the people? 6. What are you planning on offering the people in the way of assistance, so they can survive this disaster you helped create? 7. Can you demonstrate to us why you think Anutin, who has no background whatsoever in the filed of health, is up for the task of tackling this emergency? 8. And why are you shutting down so many businesses, yet you allowed ground zero to remain open to people coming and going since this latest outbreak happened, only closing the province down yesterday? Why such bad decisions, and such extreme incompetence? How do you justify that? How do you explain that? Thousands of cases emanated from Samut province. You knew that would happen. 9. How about a compulsory level of competence and experience, for all future administration appointments to key positions? 10. Why have you been so hard on foreigners, making it so incredibly difficult to fly in, yet so lax on the borders? 11. Why should we allow you to remain in power? What have you done lately to deserve that power? What are you doing to clean up the air? I have ten or fifteen ideas. Do you have any?

Patong2021
Maybe the protestors in Europe, Australia and North America can protest this instead of their hypocritical protests they make about western automobile? I think Thailand is one of the worst offenders in the world in this regard, joining Indonesia, Brazil, India and China as the environmental hypocrites of the world. Everyone angry at western countries for not making schedule for Paris accords, but here is a simple thing Thailand could do, and refuses to do and is never ever sanctioned. 1

I've been in CM for the past 2 days and the readings were between 330 - 350. Today before I returned home to Fang District they were 228.

Humans are filthy and lazy. Of course there are exceptions, but they are in the minority. My neighbours and people in the village always burning, driving drunk, throwing plastic rubbish everywhere, chopping down beautiful old tress to get the wood, killing wild birds for fun, dumping building waste and fridges in the jungle, polluting the rivers and lakes, using harmful pesticides and all the rest. People here know the dangers of pollution but just don't care about their family or own health. 3
