People in the north and northeastern regions especially have been warned about strong winds and heavy downpours potentially causing damage to property.

The storm is the result of a high pressure system from China, with only parts of southern Thailand set to avoid adverse weather conditions.

According to the TMD, the affected provinces are:

Northeast: Loei, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima and Buriram provinces

Central region: Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chainat, Lopburi, Saraburi, Singburi, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Suphanburi, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon and Nakhon Pathom, including Bangkok and its vicinity.

Eastern region: Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Looks like the line of windy wets has already passed through the Bangkok - Trat line and now heading SW over the gulf and approaching Prachuab and Chumpon. Can't see much of anything left over Isaan now. Not sure if more to come:

We got hammered last night, serious wind, torrential rain for about 30 minutes, no damage to our home.

We had similar, along with the obligatory power cut after an electric pole somewhere in the area fell over. T'was ever thus, and will continue to be. It rains, we lose power, year after year after year after year, and nothing is done about it.
