Luxury boat passengers, yachts can get STV until September 30th, govt spokeswoman

Deputy government spokeswoman Rachada Thanadirek after a cabinet meeting that the Covid-19 situation in the world was improving and that many countries were rolling out vaccine programs.

 

So in order to promote tourism and the economy in Thailand it has been decided to give passengers on luxury liners and sports (yachts) Special Tourist Visas - STV. 

 

They can apply to get them until the end of September according to regulations laid out by the Ministry of the Interior, subject to fulfilling Covid protocols.

 

Thai Rath referred to "sports" as people on yachts and made no attempt to explain or clarify the spokeswoman's statements.
