58 new COVID-19 new cases in Thailand on Friday, including 9 party goers in Suphan Buri

Commuters with facemasks to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus walk to a train station at rush hour in Bangkok a few months ago.

 

Thailand recorded 58 new COVID-19 cases and 58 additional recoveries yesterday (Friday), according to the CCSA.

 

Of the new cases, 45 are locally-acquired infections and 13 are among new arrivals from abroad in state quarantine.

 

Cumulative infections, since early last year, are 28,947, with 27,606 recoveries. 1,247 others are still being treated in hospitals and the death toll remains at 94.

In the central province of Suphan Buri, Deputy Governor Nopparit Sirikosol told the media today that 9 people were found to be infected with COVID-19 after they attended a birthday party, held on a raft on March 29th.

 

Hope they enjoy quarantine...
