Covid might be far more prevalent then we think and the numbers are always behind. How i know is that in a company i know covid has been discovered. They were not allowed to communicate this to the outside world. (government orders). They can only tell they have Covid after a second test (longer wait) of the government. So even if someone is tested positive they can't tell anyone unless its been confirmed. That takes 3-7 days. (government is using the same tests as the hospital that tested the people possitive so its a bit stupid. more their way of being in control of data that gets out)

Its a totally stupid rule, I heard about this rule before from the first Singaporean guy who got covid in Thailand. He also was tested positive but was told in no uncertain terms that he could not tell anyone until the tests of the goverment were back. That took 4 days or so. So he was in a bind as morally he felt compelled to tell people he was in contact with. So in the end he did so and the Thai government was not happy. He was lucky the SG embassy helped him. They really don't like it when people bring this news out to the world.

I think there are many many more cases then people think as the goverment is slow with confirmation. Also this way the goverment can massage the figures. Anyway I will have more to say in a few days when things are confirmed. But it shows that Covid can spread faster then you think. Once things are more clear i give a more detailed report. Will probably take a few days.

Now just wait for songkran and see the numbers go up. Its the perfect way to spread it more. All those people who say in my village they dont have it so I dont need vaccination. Be warned.

Thai people care more about having a good time than getting the flu. Everyone I know, including relatives, 2 in their 80s had no symptoms.

Just wait for a few weeks after songkran. Its the perfect vector and now with clusters in BKK and other places. Those people will go upcountry and party. Its a recipe for spread.

Put things into perspective. If the number of deaths for the last year due to the flu is multiplied by 10, it will just be the same as the number of road deaths during the New Year period.

If these people are willing to travel during a busy time, then they are willing to travel and party during a 'dangerous' time.

Of course they are willing to risk it (could you stop referring to this as a flue as it is not). It kinda makes it look like your not taking it serious. But your reasoning is a bit strange just because people die from car crashes its ok to die from other reasons too. Maybe it would also not be so shocking if the same amount of murders get committed. (just following your reasoning)

Ridiculous to compare CV19 deaths to road deaths.  Doesn't make sense.  Though road deaths are a big deal, and another topic.

I'm not a doctor. The US president called it Wuhan Flu. OK Covid 19.

I don't take it as seriously as others seem to. 80 people dying in a year is not a big deal.

You did't read my response correctly. My reasoning is that it is more likely that you get killed in a road accident than by Covid. Are you going to stop driving? If not, why should others stop the highlight of their year visiting family, after working their asses off in Bkk.

To be fair, that guy didn't take it so seriously either and more than 80 died in the US. It's definitely not flu. Quite a lot of young people in the UK dealing with the effects of Long Covid. That's what I wouldn't fancy getting - it seems quite debilitating over a long period, but still being researched of course.

Sorry, I've no idea what Long Covid is. I don't follow much international news.

The long term effects of covid - such as lung damage causing breathing issues.

Where are 80 people dying a year?  The former US president was a nutter.  That's been proven.

It's scientific news.  Nothing to do with MSM international news.  Plenty of sites reporting this.  Stunning you're not aware of it.

Few people in Thailand died from COVID-19 because the country imposed a draconian lockdown to keep the virus out.

Brazil failed to do so, and more than 300,000 have died.

If the Thai vaccination program, and their draconian restrictions, fail, then millions will be exposed to the virus, with tragic consequences.

If you don’t take the virus seriously now, the virus doesn’t care.

Are you criticising the Thai lockdown?
