Public Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul

 

Thailand’s Public Health Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, says that the Ministry of Public Health will propose that the CCSA impose tough measures to deal with entertainment venues in Bangkok’s Thonglor area, after 148 people, who visited or are working in the area, have been infected with COVID-19.

 

He said that the virus has spread very quickly and the situation in the area has reached such a critical level that the Public Health Ministry finds it necessary to advise the CCSA that it is time to close all entertainment venues in the area.

 

He accepted that the tough measure may displease many people, but said it is necessary for the safety of the public as a whole, adding “Nobody wants to do it, but the cluster has spread to all regions and, therefore, it is necessary to adopt tough measures.”

Wow, 70 people before, now 178, exponential growth showing its hand but lets vaccinate those already exposed as per BMA report for 6000 doses for the area. Have they any idea how vaccinations work? They need people who understand what the medical people advise them.

What a load of nonsense... Tough measures my a))e, people are being allowed to travel all over the country, spreading the virus as they go, and yet this clown talks about tough measures.????????????????????

This is now Thailand's March 2020.......nothing has changed......hardly anyone is vaccinated.......the virus is still in the community........they need to lockdown or, as many prefer, do nothing???? Half-hearted lockdowns of areas within Bangkok will not achieve nothing.....people are still free to travel wherever .

Let's see now! Very few vaccines available for the general public

But Prayhut' anutin and their political sidekicks got their doses

Now everyone else is exposed. ??????
