Udon Thani became the latest province to issue a mask wearing order.

It comes in today (Friday 23rd) and people can be fined up to 20,000 for non-compliance.

Surat Thani also issued the order before and have already fined one person 4,000 baht (reduced to 2,000 on admission).

The order came in a letter from provincial governor Sayam Sirimongkhol.

Other pub, bar and restaurant closures and restrictions credited with limiting the spread of the virus in the north eastern Thai province remain  in place, reported Naew Na yesterday.

There were an additional 25 cases of Covid in Udon Thani bringing the total to 246.

Can someone say if there an exception for 'exercising' (running/cycling) in the Udon regulations?

I see the Phuket regulations specifically allow it.

edit:

It seems the regulation posted is an image.

However, the text before it translates via Google as:

1. To people in the area of Udon Thani province. Always wear a surgical mask or cloth mask. All the time when leaving your home or place of residence And having activities that must touch or involve other people 2. Have people in the area of Udon Thani Province wear a surgical mask or cloth mask whenever there is an activity that requires contact or involving other people.

"whenever there is an activity that requires contact or involving other people."

I can't see any specific exceptions in there for exercising though.
