Popular Post Jonathan Fairfield
Image: Sanook Pattaya's police searched an area of the city in Naklua after reports that more than 50 women were selling themselves outside karaoke lounges in contravention of Covid-19 rules. They found nothing, reported Sanook. Nothing was open and the lights were all out. It was thought they must have got wind of the raid. Undaunted Bang Lamung station chief Pol Col Sakchai Suwannukun had his men will patrol the area at night in case they opened up again. A patrol car will also be stationed in the area. Earlier Siam Chon News sent in a reporter and found more than 50 women openly offering sex in the area known locally as Soi Esso or Nakata. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-04-24 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

(Like how Soi Diana Inn or Soi Post Office are named, or "soi Pothole", also known as "soi Chalermphrakiat" but is called "soi Chaiyapoom" by many.) 1

Or one where you line up a dozen cars and 2 dozen officers on the soi just before the area you are going to (eventually) raid. After a couple speeches and a number of photos (designed to give the locals plenty of time to usher everyone inside, turn off the music and lights and pretend no one is home). I'm guessing a different officer will be stationed there every night and will see no sign of any wrong doing. I wonder if the original reporter will have the ****s to go back there in a couple days with his "hidden" camera and film the sois again (and the cop car if it's still there). Still waiting for that woman in the red top to call me ! Don't make me go down there myself to look for you !!

Pedrogaz
I am old enough for the police to have raided Soi 6 and found no prostitution there either. Obviously reports of prostitution in Pattaya are urban legends, aka fake news. Pattaya should be renamed as the city of love.

I remember many moons ago, when I was exporting garments, and Bobae and Bayoke tower were full of copy brands. When the trademark police did a raid, the shop owners would simply lower the rollers, and sit on a chair right in front of it. Police never found any copy brands
