Who reckons that most of them were given both doses to save time?

I remember some while back when protestors demanded the resignation of Prayut and he said 'I have a job to do'.

Will Anutin utter these same words?

The UK test near a million people per day - do you think that would make a difference, I believe Thailand is testing about 13k a day and are turning people away

Yes it would make a difference. If people coming forward presenting symptoms get tested they may be mor inclined to go and isolate till they get results. What are they supposed to do if they can’t get tested?? Is everyone who is refused a test supposed to stay home even if they are negative because they can get a test and results.

The median age of people infected is falling and is currently at 29.

Source: Official Government presentation in English one hour ago.

Thailand has always had a younger age group in its positive counts right from the beginning last year, one of the reasons they've managed to keep the death rates low.

RIP to those who passed away.

This is absolutely out  of control yet   still no word of full a national lock-down?

The PM has handed that pleasure down to provincial governors... he knows how to keep the blame on others.

Lock them into their place of work?

Yes weekend numbers can be misleading for a number of reasons...but it's what we have to work with. As I said, no discernible trend yet.

The trend is more than it was a month ago.... there's one for you.

Even before today's numbers were released the  general population around my district have developed a degree of paranoia. Mobile Traders are having difficulty in getting people to buy at the front gate! There is an suspicious awareness about the number of suspected cases who had family Songkran visitors awaiting test results scattered about.

I wonder if the threat of being forced to stay in a field hospital on a cardboard bed, even if asymptotic and you have a place where you can safely self-isolate, puts anyone off being tested?

Absolutely yes.

There is an argument to say that the figure translates as more people of working age are catching the virus and unless they are all working from home (not likely) they are mixing with more others than a retired senior would. Obviously, it then follows that they are more infectious.

That is a good thing; caution should be everyone's watch word.

Down from yesterday. The threat of heavy fines for not wearing a face mask is clearly already taking affect.

Thailand very fortunate that this government not fighting a war with any country,  even very small country could take over Thailand, yet we have this bunch of retired generals not even look at what other  countries do, Thailand number 1

Case numbers with 11 dead is in a good direction?, that unfortunately is a crass statement.  11 deaths show this is taking more with it as it moves.  Hopefully the medical staff have the adequate beds and treatment to keep the deaths from rising or even doubling.  Family is isolating now as many of the places we did go are now shuttered as of the 26th here in Bangkok.  Stay safe and pray for a serious downturn and a handle on the case numbers.

Instead of giving us the numbers of the dead and infected with the virus. Just tell us how many more days until the Russian vaccine arrives and where does the line start.

I am not suggesting that deaths are the only issue from Covid-19, but I was pointing out that Thai mortality numbers are still pretty good.

We only hear about what is allegedly reported.many deaths, when I ask "what he/ she die from answer " just old"

"The fourth lot of Sionvac vaccine at 500,000 doses from China reached Thailand on Saturday after the country had already received 2.5 million vaccine doses from Sinovac Biotech.

Deputy government spokesperson Traisuree Taisaranakul said Sinovac Biotech would send an additional shipment of 1 million doses to Thailand in the middle of next month while the Public Health Ministry is accelerating a vaccination drive.

She said the new batch of Sinovac vaccine will be given to people aged 18–29 in the first target groups, while the government is planning to secure 100 million COVID-19 vaccine doses for 50 million people by the end of this year."

The government is still working on deals to acquire doses of both the Pfizer and Russian Sputnik vaccines.
