The dogs are not required to smell the humans directly. Sweat samples are collected from humans and stored in small metal containers for the dogs to inspect one-by-one.

Ā

Thank God for that.

I had visions of having to stand in a queue at the airport while a dog sniffed my butt.

If you pay extra, they'll probably let him.

I remember years ago when they got sniffer dogs at

Chiang Mai Airport, and this dog was going crazy overĀ

the passengers suitcase, the handler must have thought

we have a smuggler here, when they opened up the suitcase

it contained 5Kg Northern Thai sausages, it was reported

the food allotments for each dog was 10 Thb a day,Ā  the

dog was more interested in food than Heroin........

Seems strange to me since supposedly the virus can easily jump to animals., but I haven't followed that to be honest. I just remember the Chinese taking away people's pets in China last year because of suspicion of being COVID carriers. It was, after all, the Chinese who started the fade of lockdowns.

Now i have heard everything, collecting sweat samples from what? 70 million people? good luck with that and i feel sorry for the poor dogs already having such a lousy job...

A swab ofĀ  my armpit or a swab rammed up my nose ? Maybe the dog gets a result nice and quick......poorĀ  thing ?
