BANGKOK (Reuters) - Vaccine hesitancy has risen sharply in Thailand opinion polls show, just weeks away from the start of a mass inoculation programme and as the country fights its deadliest COVID-19 outbreak.

China’s Sinopharm applies for vaccine approval in Thailand

Thailand’s Food and Drug administration (FDA) revealed today (Tuesday) that all the necessary documents to seek approval for China’s state-owned Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine have been submitted, with a decision expected soon.

Thailand sees highest unemployment rate in 12 years in first quarter 2021

Officials increase capacity at Cambodia border checkpoint to discourage illegal crossing

The two Sa Kaeo checkpoints on the Cambodian border will be open five days a week, up from three, to discourage Thais from trying to cross the border illegally, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Tuesday.

Mahidol U denies any connection to claims that Fingerroot halts spread of COVID-19 in humans

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand is modifying its coronavirus immunisation strategy to target worst-hit areas and sectors where clusters are most likely to emerge, officials said on Wednesday, as it deals with its most severe outbreak yet and a low vaccination rate.
