Popular Post ThailandRyan
Prison reporting seems to be done daily now instead of a massive numbers dump. Popular Post dinsdale
This is a virus that srpeads rapidly and easily. There are clusters and new clusters and yet more new clusters but the numbers are virtually the same everyday. Makes me wonder. Reported deaths back up into 30's so the 1000 deaths this month still on track. 4 1

Especially when we are still getting reports of people having to wait days for test and dying a dew days later. There have been a few of them in the last few weeks and those are only the ones that the press have picked up. How many more go unreported daily of people having to wait for tests for days. Testing is a big problem. 8

Popular Post darksidedog
Asking around over the last few days I have discovered I do not know anyone who has actually been tested. While my social network might not be huge, I would have thought someone would have had one. Does make you wonder how many cases we would be getting if they were running ten or twenty times more than they are. I note that several suggested that they may have had Covid already, having experienced symptoms at some point since it arrived last year. 7

I think the pandemic is all about perception now. Hopefully the next 6 months can see good numbers in the mass vaccination in Thailand but the US for example 5 times as big still has 20,000 cases per day and around 550 deaths 7 day average. Around 50 percent full vaccination and 62 percent at least one dose. Above that we hit the resistance refuseniks which is unfortunate but any sense of emergency is over. Covid cannot be really contained maybe for decades, only managed. Until that translates to Asias countries look forward to largely closed borders. To be fair it lists a few Bangkok hospitals which may have some vaccine, but almost certainly they will run out on day 1 or 2. and then the registration system is being updated, so you can’t make an appointment, so register after 3pm. and they had 3 months to prepare for this fiasco. Interesting to see if that is the case or not. If there is a spike tomorrow, it will definitely have something to do with a weekend backlog. Maybe the labs don’t process weekend samples until Monday. That won’t stop some people from claiming that an artifact of the work schedule is instead a sure sign of a coming apocalypse. If it happens again tomorrow, then the situation is continuing to deteriorate somewhat.

Last wk there were 10 of these. This is just one temple. 6

I think they are only reporting those that need a hospital - the rest are already in quarantine so why bother testing them same as they do with factories - turn them into quarantine centers and stop testing - why bother testing it will only increase the numbers

Popular Post RR2020
With the threat of being dragged away to a Covid facility for 14 days............there is probably 10,000 people a day being infected but just staying at home and self isolating. With the fear driven into people the actual tested will always be far lower than real cases. Only in open and free societies with no stigma will you see proper reporting. Trouble is for Thailand.......rather than a big wave and then finish.......with people hiding their illness and not getting tested.......it will just be a very long protracted wave........2000 to 3000 every day for a long long time............. as it spreads and spreads................. 6
