Another Card Gambling Den Found

Pattaya Police Chief Police Colonel Suthin Sappuang and his officers discovered another card gambling den in the earlier hours of 23rd May located in a room on the second floor of the Midtown Hotel, Pratamnak Road, after being informed by a disturbed resident.

In front of the room were many pairs of shoes and loud cheers were heard from the outside. When the gamblers saw the police they tried to flee but had nowhere to run.

All 11 gamblers aged 21 – 58 were detained together with the evidence of cards and 300 Baht.

They were taken to Pattaya Police Station.

Really - the amounts of money quoted in these arrests are derisory.

Maybe we have more money in our pockets than the average working class Thai, but 300 baht among 11 players? Doesn't even cover the room rent.
