BANGKOK, June 18 (TNA) – A research has found the efficacy rate of Sinovac’s COVID-19 vaccine is higher than 50% among the Thai people who have received two doses, according to Chulalongkorn University.

a way to go as pfizer is 94% and AZ 92% and still a dozen died even with  2 jabs in UK

Hong Kong offers both Sinovac and Pfizer. Your choice....free.

Latest study results by the HK university show that Pfizer is far superior in producing antibodies,  and states that those who received Sinovac will need a booster.

Source is the SCMP yesterday.

Your choice !

Correct.....from Indonesia........

Sinovac jab is still 93 percent effective, Vergeire said. As of June 17, of the 14.2 million COVID-19 vaccine doses in the country, 9 million are from Sinovac.

Thanks.

seems they have compared a mixed dose with two AZ and found a benefit. But have yet to compare a mixed dose with two Pfizer. But it’s next on their to do list and will be interesting to see the results.

Excellent News!!!  We should tell that to our Indonesian brothers and sisters!

"JAKARTA, June 17 (Reuters) - More than 350 doctors and medical workers have caught COVID-19 in Indonesia despite being vaccinated with Sinovac and dozens have been hospitalised, officials said, as concerns grow about the efficacy of some vaccines against more infectious variants."

Sinovac's vaccine did well, most of the infected Indonesian medical personnel have recovered:

Sinovac Vaccine Protects Health Workers From Severe Covid-19 in Delta-Hit Kudus

Bad news for mRNA vaccine fans, though. In Singapore's Bukit Merah cluster, around half of those infected have been vaccinated, and nearly 70% of them have symptoms, such as sore throat, fever and running nose.

3 new COVID-19 cases linked to Bukit Merah View cluster, tally now at 73 infections

Snow job! If these Chinese vaccines are so damn good why are we seeing huge upsurges in transmission in countries that have used them, and why in Indonesia are medics who were fully vaccinated weeks ago suffering large numbers of Covid infections and many hospitalisations.

It's bad news for Astra Zeneca too - as the UK which has used it in mass is seeing a huge upswing in cases.
