I've just got a computer and an ADSL connection. I've heard it's possible to download various media - films, TV series, some music, and streaming video too. What software do you experienced users recommend for copying and storing all these files onto the harddrive, for later playback? I've heard of WM recorder 11 for this - is it any good? I've downloaded BitTorrent and eMule already, although I haven't used them yet, and I've got Google Earth as well. I only ever had dialup before, so I really could use some advice on which decent programs to install to watch web TV and internet Radio as well and how to make the most of the new download capabilities. Any recommendations, anyone?

Since there may be 40 others sharing your bandwidth maybe they {me?} would be pleased if you didn't download etc.

To be serious, suggest you get FlashGet {Free} as a downlander, it includes torrent and eMule protocols. Easy to use and to a large degree it does what it says it will do. Integrates into browsers for convenience as well.
