Why not just buy more AZ from SB?

And if all its undistributed inventory is llegedly destined for sale (16 million doses) to the Philippines, deny export as a matter of national security and distribute to Thai residents first.

The thing is, the company depends on supplies from AZ. So if it violates its contract, AZ can cut it off. I'm not saying it would, but it could.

You could release the results now. Prediction: There were no side effects or adverse conditions shown by any of the volunteers, and Thailand has the best vaccine in the world.

  • Why reinvent the wheel. Import the bloody vaccine. Beg borrow or steal.

Why would they release the results now? You wait until the phase is finished and then do the analysis.

It's not, it's an inactivated virus vaccine.

In a previous article on Thai Visa, it stated that this vaccine is an mRNA vaccine

Called “ChulaCov19”, it is the first vaccine developed in Thailand, but will be the second to be locally made, if approved, after Siam Bioscience’s production of the UK’s AstraZeneca vaccine.

It is also an mRNA vaccine, a type that provides instructions to human cells on how to make a “spike protein” that triggers the body’s immune response.

In the race for a vaccine, Pfizer and Moderna conducted the first, second, and third trials at the same time, not consecutively. That is why they were so fast to the market.

Phase 1 was done before Phase 2/3.

Yes, there is a vaccine being developed by Chulalongkorn University, that is an mRNA vaccine. I already referred to it in an earlier post.

This thread is about the vaccine from Mahidol University, which as I mentioned and as is clearly stated in the article in the OP, is an inactivated virus vaccine.

The Isaan vaccine , Laokhao 40 seems to be holding up well. Very few struck down with covid yet. Fallen down yes. Struck down no.
