Yes I know, but they've the cancelled the special Tuesday one which joined up the official holidays into one 5 day break. I guess they're hoping it will be a disincentive to folks travelling.

Why not just get fully draconian and ban travel period?

banning travel completely for those July dates is what they should be doing.

A little over a year ago, at the height of the 1st wave, it was all but impossible to cross a provincial border. The virus can only travel when people do. It's time to get tough.

I am surprised daily by the very high percentage of deaths compared to the number of infections!  i can only conclude that there are many more people who are infected, but either have not been declared or are suddenly appearing sick at a hospital.  Very, very odd!

There is an explanation. Infections are discovered 2 ways - by testing someone who appears healthy but who is asymptomatic and by testing someone who is showing symptoms. Without mass testing, the first of these escape detection and they continue to spread, the latter get detected and recorded.

Deaths are not so easy to disguise as there is no asymptomatic death.

Appalling incompetence. It now appears that there will be a surge of infections throughout the north of Thailand, and probably elsewhere.
