Samui Plus Program for Inoculated Tourists Should begin on July 15

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has revealed that the Samui Plus program, for inoculated tourists, should open for Certificate of Entry (CoE) applications this week, as Surat Thani is slated to open three islands on July 15.

Thailand is now entering the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Delta coronavirus variant expected to become the dominant strain in Thailand and the rest of the world in 1-2 months, said  Clinical Professor Emeritus Dr. Udom Kachintorn who is an advisor to the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today (Tuesday).

PHUKET: Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew has urged people in other provinces to follow the rules for domestic arrivals to be allowed to enter Phuket by land. They must be vaccinated or have tested negative for COVID-19 within seven days before travelling ‒ or else face being denied entry to the province, Governor Narong said.

Health Agency Expects Delta Variant Will Be Predominant COVID-19 Strain in Thailand
