Bus services on all southern routes in Thailand suspended until July 25th

Thailand’s state-run Transport Company has suspended operations on all southern bus routes, from 11pm tonight (Saturday) until July 25th, in line with the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration’s (CCSA) decision yesterday to restrict interprovincial travel, in a new bid to stem the rapid spread of COVID-19.

Surat Thani islands hit vaccine targets ahead of 15th July opening - foreigners vaxxed on Koh Phangan

Thai media reported that all the well known tourist islands in Surat Thani province - Koh Samui, Koh Tao and Koh Phangan - had hit their vaccination targets.

Complaint filed against Bangkok beauty pageant after contestants and officials found with COVID-19

Huai Khwang district office in Bangkok has lodged a complaint with Makkasan police, accusing the organiser of the “Miss Grand Samut Sakhon 2021” pageant for holding the event on June 26th and 27th, at the Mirin Theatre RCA in Huai Khwang district, in violation of the Communicable Disease Act and restrictions announced by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

Royal Gazette announces new COVID-19 restrictions starting Monday

All the restrictive measures announced by the country’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Friday, in an attempt to contain the rapid surge in COVID-19 infections in Thailand, have been published in the Royal Gazette, making them enforceable.

Bangkok Will Implement Home and Community Isolation for Mild COVID-19 Patients

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will implement home and community isolation for asymptomatic COVID-19 patients and those with mild symptoms in the capital, starting with a community isolation center inside Sri Sudaram Temple on 9 July.

Thai Government to Set up 5,000-bed Field Hospital at Suvarnabhumi Airport

Thai Cabinet Members Donate Salaries to Help People Affected by COVID-19 Pandemic

BANGKOK (NNT) - Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has announced his donation of three months’ salary, to help those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, during a meeting at the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) via video conference on 9 July.

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Singapore on Saturday reported no new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection for the first time since April 25, according to preliminary daily numbers.

Thailand to the rescue again:  security guard helps panicked Englishman in 3 am drama!

BOOM!......then everything went black, including my flatscreen TV. 

 

It was 2.17 am on Thursday morning in locked down Bangkok and what Rooster and many others had been waiting for for 55 years - an appearance in a major football final - went blank.
