Delta variant now 95.4% of Bangkok’s new cases, spreads to almost all provinces

The Delta variant now accounts for 95.4% of new COVID-19 infections in Bangkok and has spread to 76 out of Thailand’s 77 provinces, said Director-General of Medical Sciences Department Dr. Supakit Sirilak today (Tuesday).

Surge in people seeking COVID-19 tests at Prachuap Hospital after ‘birthday party’ cluster

Tourism leader calls for COVID-19 restrictions in Hua Hin to be eased

A senior advisor to the Hua Hin-Cha-Am Tourism Business Association (HHCTBA) has proposed that COVID-19 restrictions in Hua Hin and throughout Prachuap Khiri Khan are eased.

Phuket tourist murder: Suspect has admitted everything, police chief thanks private sector for 200K donation

Foreign driver dies in Pattaya after crashing into another vehicle during curfew, second driver flees scene

Banglamung/Pattaya – A male foreign driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after he collided his sedan into what authorities suspect was a trailer truck in Nongprue last night (August 10th). However, the trailer truck was not found at the scene.

Old Phuket prison opens as ‘Covid Care Center’

PHUKET: The old Phuket Prison on Bamrong Rd in Phuket Town opened today (Aug 11) as the “Covid Care Center” (CCC) for Muang District, one of four locations on the island where people who test positive for COVID-19 by only an antigen test are now required to stay for an as-yet undefined period of time despite not suffering any symptoms of infection.

‘Too early to tell’: Phuket Governor makes no promises on easing COVID restrictions

PHUKET: Phuket Governor Narong Woonciew has declined to confirm or deny whether or not the current COVID restrictions across the island and for entering Phuket will be eased come next Monday (Aug 16), when the current order enforcing the restrictions is set to expire.
