Traveling between dark red provinces

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

has anybody travelled from Pattaya to Bkk in the last couple of days and can tell me what exactly they want to see at the checkpoints?

I heard that apart from the QR code (https://covid-19.in.th/en) and some sort of confirmation that the reason of your travel is essential (e.g. vaccination), they ask for a recent PCR Covid-test certificate. Can anybody confirm that?

Many thanks in advance.

since just before songkran, I have never heard about any tests required on inter provincial travel. Especially between same coloured zones.

for a reason you can put coming back home or going to work. Doesn't have to be strictly medical reason (unless you want to travel during curfew). I haven't heard about any checkpoints anywhere in thailand (exception phuket, samui, also krabi for some reason).

If it's daytime travel and you're on the highway, no checkpoints.
