This video shows homeless people everywhere in Pattaya. Hard to see all the suffering. Is it really that bad?

Los Angles without tents.  For every billion dollars earned by a Gate or a Benzos, or a Soros they leave in their wake a few hundred thousand casualties.  But hey.  The rich need more money than they can spend in a hundred lifetimes even though average people end up destitute and in abject poverty.
The benefits outweigh the risks don't ya know!

Would you really pick up a homeless gal off the BR and take her back to your home/hotel and have intimate sexual contact with her? You both going to wear masks while having sex? You going to practice safe distancing while doing the deed? Like hell I would get a homeless stranger and kiss her, or have her panting into my face only inches away.

New Normal:  Farangs deathly afraid of disease.  Not like they weren't before. They were. Those of European decent tend to be irrational germophobes and mysophobiacs- but now on steroids.  Which is why your typical white person who arrives in Thailand spends their two week vacation with the dribbling ****s which is one's body reacting to pathogens their immune systems have been protected against encountering.  To have a healthy immune system, it needs to be challenged. Now it's "Gimme a shot doc!"  Trouble is - it's never going to be as good as a million years of evolution.

The homeless ladies hanging around on the Beach Road are often not homeless but just doing a job... Normally there are much more such homeless ladies there.

Pattaya? Everywhere. People don’t have jobs.

People here don’t care though, they just want the ineffective and freedom assaulting lockdowns to continue because they have their pension.

Which is the attitude of most people only AFTER they have been fully vaccinated.  ????

Wow! Brilliant sarcasm - combined with argumentum ad hominem! Your Grade 8 English instructors taught you some serious composition skills.

(Think before you reply.)

The video should be compulsory viewing for 4 hours every night by every member of the government, every minister, especially the PM, every senator, every member of Pattaya government, every civil servant who has anything to do with Pattaya. The food that those toads shovel down their throats should be given o the homeless and the toads should live on Mama for a year.

The last top earning girl on Only Fans made $29 million.

She lives in Isaan?

Totally out of context if you look at what I replied to - and no, I haven't been fully vaccinated.

Do you know many pensioners...........

it's just human nature.   Do you deny that is the attitude of many, around the world?

Yes, I know many pensioners here.

You seem to enjoy using confrontational expressions to prolong your arguments in many threads.

I don't "deny" anything but it is not my experience.

It is also completely off topic........

The world would be quite boring if everyone agreed on everything.

You have not been vaccinated yet, do you think you will be more liberal in your travel habits, once you have the safety of being vaccinated?

We have all seen selfish unvaccinated people in the news.  I suspect their sense of entitlement increases after vaccination.

I am not sure about Greece, but I can assure you that you will not see anything similar in Spain.

And, even less now, when everything is fully open again, hotels are full with no vacancy and most people is back at work.

I watched the video, and I'm not seeing much that you don't see every day, and for many years.  The difference is that there isn't a throng of normal people and tourists to deflect attention away from them.  Normally, you don't even notice them in the din of activity.

Still sad...

yeah.  it's bad.  people are suffering.  they have these food lines where dozens of people wait in line for free food.  I've seen the lines near bali hai, soi buakhao.  once near big c pattaya klang.  I see the desperation in their eyes.  they haven't become hostile yet.  but if this pandemic keeps going, eventually...

Begging the question - "Why aren't there more girls on Beach Road? (I am not trying to hijack the topic.) At least they would have a source of income.

Because it is persisting down and they removed all the trees to lean on and shelter under.

The majority of homeless people in Pattaya, shouldn't be living there in the first place. Pattaya is not a place for these people at the best of times. I travel a fair bit and my cost of living reduces drastically when I leave Pattaya. I don't pay rent, I'm married so no bar girls and I'm a moderate drinker but I cut loose at times when I'm in my condo. The homeless people should be taken back to where they came from free of charge. One can only image the the diseases these people may spread the way they live.

This is the problem right now in California. Many are attracted there because of the weather, the social services available, and the high wage earners they believe will be loose with their cash. As you say, the problem should be dealt with at its source, with jobs and places to live wherever they came from.

So I was wrong by 180 bucks a month.

I thing job at 7/11 in Thailand pays more.

There is only so many people the 7/11's can employ.

The opening up of Pattaya won't change a lot of these peoples situation, you recognise the same faces if you've been here throughout and its pretty obvious more than a few have underlying mental issues. They were here pre-covid and most likely they will be here post covid, I don't think there is much of a social services system to help them long -term.  Very sad.  The majority of people I see at the food queues arrive and depart on motorbikes, I'm not saying they aren't suffering and need the help,  but I don't think they are homeless.

How many 7/11's have closed down in Pattaya in the past 6 months?

  • Popular Post

One of my idiosyncrasies (of which I have many) is to pay more than a casual observance to the homeless and street people from all around the world.  By my estimation I would say that a good 80% of them on average have some sort of mental or psychological disorder, often made worse by drugs or alcohol.

Regarding Pattaya in particular, it is easy to differentiate the "routinely" homeless from those that have come upon hard times relatively recently due to the lockdowns.  The routinely homeless appear more comfortable with their situation and usually show behavioral signs of their mental disorder, are unkempt and obviously don't make cleanliness a priority.  The recent homeless have a look of total confusion, fear, and some embarrassment, are reasonably presentable and decently dressed, and often have amongst their observable possessions something that is of no use to them in their predicament, such as a mini ironing board, a crash helmet, a rice cooker, or a suitcase.

No those 711 employees are not what your seeing around Pattaya. As others noted these people now you see were never employed around here and shouldn't be here in the first place. There has always been these types here but the numbers are increasing. As well as the general population of lowlife thai males. Bad news
