iS  she a thai???  Just curious.

She is Thai but became an American citizen in 2009.  She registered for the vaccine using her American passport.  In Chiang Rai they are prioritizing American citizens for the Pfizer vaccine.  An American friend who lives near us has a Thai wife but she never became a US citizen.  She went with her husband, showed their marriage certificate and was able to get the Pfizer vaccine

Vaccine warning as Israel data shows Pfizer protection 'vanishes' against Delta strain

THE EFFECTIVENESS of Pfizer's Covid vaccine wanes dramatically within six months, with new data published in Israel suggesting the vaccine virtually "vanishes" when facing the Delta strain of coronavirus.

OK, but the relatively small pieces of data from Israel are utterly dwarfed by data in Europe which are not showing at this point a decline in protection. This is a much greater level of observation and data.  (I'm including the UK in the "European" data even though....you know.)

While Israel is seeing a huge rise in cases for Delta, it's in a country that didn't get much of an Alpha surge - during Alpha there were tight restrictions inside Israel and tough border restrictions too. So comparing the data needs to take that into account.

The Mayo Clinic (USA) has indeed said that vaccine effectiveness is declining against Delta. Is this due to Delta's genetic advantages? Or is it due to antibodies declining over time? Or is it a bit of both? Or is it something else?

At this point the case that overall protection is already showing a decline due to time (as opposed to other factors) is not proven or observed.  Maybe this data will surface, it just hasn't yet.

That is good  for you folks.  However, if CR is prioritizing American citizens why am I, an 70 yo American who has registered with CR hosp several times NOT been contacted for a pfizer jab just sino and AZ offered at my district hosp.  Could it be that they are using the expatvac reg info for this purpose?
