anchadian
NEWS ROOM In Thailand, the Vaccine Passport and International Vaccine Certificate are the same documents. It is an official Thai document to certify that a person has already received the complete dose of vaccine in Thailand and is especially useful for traveling outside the country. Initially, in Thailand, seven vaccines have been approved, namely Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Sinopharm, Sputnik, and Moderna. Those who need to hold the Vaccine Passport are people who have to travel abroad, but the destination country must be a country that has joined the Vaccine Passport Agreement and added it to the documents required for traveling there. Check the details and rules of the country of destination and find out whether they must have it or not because some countries may also have their own additional rules. 6 September 2021 (Readers 7) Division of Communicable Diseases https://thailand.prd.go.th/ewt_news.php?nid=11798&filename=index

If it’s dropped for domestic it should also be dropped for sandbox.
Bkk Brian
Just don’t tell the Chinese, they get easily offended".......... Phuket sees a spike in cases but officials bullish on keeping sandbox model With the majority of cases identified as Delta variant, Chalermpong warned that two shots of vaccines for Phuket residents, mainly the Chinese-made Sinovac, could not help control the spread anymore and called for booster shots immediately. “The current vaccine has low efficacy in preventing the spread of the virus,” said Dr Kusak Kukiattikul, Phuket Provincial Public Health Doctor. https://www.thaienquirer.com/32263/phuket-sees-a-spike-in-cases-but-officials-bullish-on-keeping-sandbox-model/
Bkk Brian
Thailand to procure 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines next year Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health has announced plans to procure 200 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines next year, to prepare for more mutations of the deadly virus. Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Sathit Pitutecha was answering questions from the Senate regarding vaccine procurement plans, when he said the National Vaccine Institute and the ministry will procure at least 200 million doses in 2022 as booster doses, as they prepare for new developments of such vaccines and more mutations of the virus. At the moment, they are in talks to procure more AstraZeneca viral-vector vaccine, of which the second version is being developed. They are also in talks to procure Pfizer and Sputnik-V. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thailand-to-procure-200-million-doses-of-covid-19-vaccines-next-year/
Popular Post Bkk Brian
Flip flop already no surprise; logic must have caught up with them again Bangkok reopening plan delayed until most residents fully jabbed The plan to reopen Bangkok to fully vaccinated foreign tourists will likely be postponed by a month at least to ensure at least 70 per cent of people living in the capital and its adjacent provinces are fully jabbed first. Tourism and Sports Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said on Monday that the plan had been postponed from October 1, when Bangkok and four other provinces – Chiang Mai (Mueang, Mae Rim, Mae Taeng and Doi Tao), Prachuap Khiri Khan (Hua Hin), Phetchaburi (Cha-am) and Chonburi (Pattaya, Bang Lamung and Sattahip) – were scheduled to reopen. He said the country should be fully reopened by January 15 if at least 70 per cent of the population has been fully vaccinated by the end of this year. https://www.nationthailand.com/thai-destination/40005775 2
anchadian
New normal tourism may see foreign and local tourists segregated at Pattaya tourist attractions Figures from Phuket show an average spend of ฿57,949 for each visitor but nearly 50% of this went on certified accommodation and medical bills. The limited success of the Phuket Sandbox scheme, which is hardly likely to be bettered elsewhere in Thailand, means that the government’s prospects for achieving visitor numbers in heavy volumes in 2021 and 2022 are limited as long as the restrictive Certificate of Entry system and an increasingly disturbing top-down approach to controlling the foreign tourism industry is not lifted. https://www.thaiexaminer.com/thai-news-foreigners/2021/09/06/new-normal-tourism-is-now-state-controlled/ 1
Popular Post ThailandRyan
Story on TNN 16 now in regards to Phuket now having a major cluster. A large market has now been shut and closed for 14 days with 711 people being tested. It sounded as if all 711 were positive via an ATK test. This is another problem that is beginning to arise again, in that markets are getting crowded with vendors returning to work and customers returning to purchase what's needed. As always stay safe, and social distance if possible. 2
