Lenny, I haven't seen that additional restriction listed anywhere (and I have tried searching) - do you have a reference point? AFAIK 7-11 alcohol selling times are 11.00 - 14.00 and 17.00 to Midnight.................... only further restricted by the deep red zone closure at 20.00. Could it be an additional restriction imposed by the Rayong governor?

Sydebolle
This is another of those many ridiculous laws. Initially the doctrine was to keep the children away from alcohol !!!!! 00h00 - 11h00 No booze 11h00 - 14h00 as much as you want 14h00 - 17h00 no booze again 17h00 - 24h00 (or curfew) carry on the good work on the bottles Now, my question (in relation to protecting kids from the bad, bad alcohol) is, when is school and lunch break and when is school over. Go figure ..........

Only discovered this last year. A bit surprised but pleased at the time. My Bangkok (deep red zone) neighbourhood 7-11 sells booze till 8 pm. Also a full liquor store in a swanky Bangkok mall will sell whatever you want through 2 pm to 5 pm if you have the right change. They just ring it in after 5p. And practically every bar in town will serve beverages in a police approved disguised cup. ????
