webfact
BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s Department of Health has announced that all employees in malls and other at-risk businesses will need to be vaccinated by October 1st, when the “COVID-Free Settings” (CFS) measure rolls out. Department Director-General Dr. Suwanchai Wattanayingcharoenchai said, starting next month, all employees in CFS should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and take an antigen test every 7 days. Employees in CFS, who have had only one dose of vaccine, will need to test negative and undergo a risk assessment before being allowed to work. According to the Department of Health, customers who have not had both doses may also need to present a negative antigen test results to enter malls. Under the CFS measure, shopping malls and other businesses must have a contingency plan to control any outbreaks of COVID-19 immediately. All business owners must also make quarantine preparations, to ensure speedy isolation and treatment of any employees who contract the virus. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-09-16 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1

Popular Post RJRS1301
I personally am a supporter vaccine, and have been fortunate to have two non Sino injections. What I find questionable are the ethics underlying decisions about mandating vaccines for persons outside of health department employees, and other para health professions (dental, physio, ambulance, police etc), people make free choices to work in these professions. In making mandatory vaccines for others, we are creating further divides in community. Persons who for whatever reason do not vax including health concerns will have less freedom of movement and restricted choices of services and entertainment. This is another clear divide and forms a less equal class of people, which will lead to more social unrest, dislocation of services, more stigma. This concern applies for all governments making similar regulations across the world. 5 1

Yes, but..."may also need"... The usual loopholes through which juggernauts can drive.

That notwithstanding, Chinese are not coming for their long holiday, when they have to return to China with 21 days quarantine. 21 days plus the as-yet-to-be-decided, [as it's a massive 2 weeks away, maybe 4 weeks away], before anyone knows what the quarantine is for arrival in Thailand...21 + 14, or 21 + 7. Either way, China's long holiday is not that long. At best it's 14 days. Edited September 16, 2021 by samtam

I read another article this morning that stated that only 30 some odd % of people have received 2 does of vaccine in Bangkok. People are already working in malls and the general public is also shopping. Typical mind set of these people doing the exact opposite of what should have been done... poskat
This is all so thai... in their zeal to be able to sit at the adult table they are instituting policies the industrialized countries are in the midst of doing, without recognizing that these countries are doing these show proof of vaxx to overcome the vaccine hesitancy of many people. here, no one is avoiding getting vaxxed, they dont have the opportunity to do so. so they are screwing the people twice about vaccines, first they dont provide them, then when they say without it you cant do X,Y,Z... 1

Stargeezr
Do not despair , all you expats. If you have gotten your 2 shots of some sort of vaccine, it is likely that you will not die if you contract COVID, but again no guarantees, because if you have other ailments, well.... Anyway In Alberta Canada, the 4th wave has put the province in an emergency state as the hospitals are basically full. There is spikes of COVID cases among the unvaccinated crowds of people who will not get the vaccine. even though it is free and available to all who want a jab. Restrictions have been set by the government for all residents in the province, and more restrictions will likely be announced next week. Stay cautious and hope that Thailand does not open up sooner than it is safe to do so. Winter is coming though and soon the northern countries will be getting freezing temperatures, and people will be wanting to escape Winter for sure. riclag
Moderna vax hold outs, probably in the hundreds of thousands, won't be goin to the mall ,unless they don't mind getting tested! Probably charge for a test too.
