webfact
Thai caption: Assault case stalled - ended in death Picture: Snook A grim tale of revenge emerged after a 57 year old security man who had been sacked as chief at a housing estate returned to shoot dead an underling with whom he had argued. Pak Klong Rangsit police in Pathum Thani, found 21 year old guard Ronnakit or "First" slumped back in a chair with a gunshot wound. Next to him in the front security office of the housing estate was colleague Krungsri, 47, in a state of shock. At 5am yesterday the former chief of the detail Jirawat or "Lek", aged about 57, had arrived on a motorcycle. Krungsri said he was ordered out of the office or would face trouble and then a shot rang out. He went back and heard another shot after he was threatened again. The shooter fled. The shooter was the former head of security at the estate and had been sacked after a fight involving a knife. The father of the slain young guard, Rungroj, 43, said that there was an incident between his son and the shooter on July 18th. He said his son had found the older man sleeping on the job and woke him up and an argument ensued in which his son was attacked with a knife hurting his hand. A police report was filed and this led to the sacking of the older man though the police case had gone nowhere. Sanook reported that the victim was a nice guy and the shooter - currently being sought - made him do all the work and failed to do his own duty. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-09-17 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 1

Police powerless???????? They should be held responsible as well together with the shooter. A knife attack is not an industrial dispute in my humble opinion. 1
